I used to live outside Lake Placid in NY in a house with only wood heat. First year six full cords. That next summer I put in new windows and insulation and used four full cords the following winter. Then the year aftter I got a Monitor. Then my ex got the house. :angry2:

FWIW I don't think the Yammy tall shield would help your problem. 5'10" also.

I bought in a pic of a sale price on ebay for $8995 otd. You should be able to get an 06 for that or less. I didn't ask about an 07. Same bike but I liked the 06 colors.

Mini Clubman in the driveway. I saw one of the 07 VFRs in the shop. Beautiful bike and was second on the list. I couldn't turn down the deal on the leftover CBR though.

I have an o4 CBR600RR but decided to up the ante. I'll do a ride report if there is interest.

I also carry but think you did the right thing. Avoidance is the way to go. Firing at a vehicle, aggressive as it may be, is not an option. If it was, the show "Cops" would be off the air. There are some serious aholes out there.

I'd add the CBR600R to the mix. I am 5' 11" and 215 and have been riding 40 years. The 600 is a great bike and if you are commuting the recommendation is for regular gas which will save some more $. I think I probably get 40 mpg with the 600 and the 1000, I've heard gets closer to 35. I also...

I put my Fenda_Ext. just with the provided tape. Cleaned area first with ETOH and it's got 4K on it w/o a problem.

I finally got to se e an 07 FJR, and though enamored with the new Connie when I first heard about it, I have reached the following conclusion. The new FJR is a beautiful bike. It has all I need in terms of power and uses regular gas. It has taken me a year to get mine set up the way I want it...

Super great people! Naturally, I waited till the last day to get the YES and they wrote it for me before they received my check. I didn't realize they don't take CCs for YES(which makes sense with the great price) and I would have been SOL. Great folks again! Merry Christmas to all at Cullman!
