Do you always wear a helmet?

Glad you got a laugh! It's even good for me to laugh about those incidences after the fact. I won't even tell you of the time I had a knee injury (fall on ice related) and the woman paramedic was having a tough time getting the gurney (and me) on to the ambulance. She asked the male EMT if he...

    Go Buy a REAL Motorcycle!!!

I don't know why you guys play with the little stuff. You won't see any tailgating here. :D Ron

    Go Buy a REAL Motorcycle!!!

Agreed, Panther. But I also know that many cowboys wear pantyhose under their jeans to reduce chafing while on horseback. :o Ron

    Go Buy a REAL Motorcycle!!!

I don't recall where I heard this, but: I got twice the bike for half the price - and the only people I've seen who wear assless chaps are Village People, Hairdressers, and Harley riders. Please have your concealed carry permit handy. Ron

What color of FJR is slowest?

Yup, Test Pilot is correct. That black sucks up photons like crazy! But, you must have some advantage if you have to ride upside down all the time. Ron

What color of FJR is slowest?

Ah, but you ignored an important factor. As the air heats, its density decreases, and that reduces frictional shear stress on the bike. Thus, the bike goes faster. :) Ron

Do you always wear a helmet?

Lessee. My motorcycle once made a sudden stop and I didn't. Result, I went head (face) first into a steel post at 30-35 mph wearing a full face helmet. I had a minor concussion. The EMT said that my eyes were open, but I was babbling. I told her that my behavior was not a symptom of injury. They...

What color of FJR is slowest?

I get so tired of these slowest colors threads  . It is OBVIOUS. The darker the blue, the more photos are absorbed. The more photons, the greater the energy transfer to the bike, which increases the heat of combustion in the engine. The resulting thermal expansion in the combustion...

    Can Your FJ do this?

Sure. Here it is jumping a small hill in preparation for the BIG jump. Ron

    To FJR or not

Hi, Chris, I, too, know you from the ZRXOA. I couldn't afford to keep my '02 ZRX 1200 (purchased after totaling my '01 ZRX) and also buy the '05 FJR, so I reluctantly sold it. My ZRX was rigged with GIVI hard bags and I used it as a sport tourer. It wasn't bad, but I really needed a SPORT...

It was painful to watch. :( Ron

What Do You Wish You Could Transport On Your Bike?

When you work out the heavy golf club mount, please suggest how I can carry my banjo on the FJR. A woman, while driving, looked in her car mirror (for once) and saw her husband's expensive banjo in the back seat. She decided to take a chance and stopped to have lunch, thoroughly checking that...

    Go Broncos

Ah, the Briarwood. We used to take interviewees for positions at work to the Briarwood for lunch or dinner. Then, the administration deemed it too expensive. Darn, there went a very nice free meal. Ron

If I see one more ad for 'Brokeback Mountain'.....

Montgomery Clift was definitely gay, to the disappointment of many teeniebopper girls. John Wayne had a wife and kids. He was a WW II draftdodger, but not likely gay. I can supply articles on his draft dodging (William Manchester's book on the Pacific theater that notes John Wayne being booed...

    Best friend paralyzed

I've grown to accept that these dogs and cats are family, not pets. It hurt so much when we had to put down our 14 1/2 and 15 year old dogs a few years ago. Now, we have new family members - a rescue greyhound and a golden mix (along with our 2 cats). So, I can imagine how you feel. I wish you...

    Go Broncos

I didn't think that Plummer had the capacity to bring the Broncos this far. Well, I was flat wrong! I live near Golden, OrangevaleFJR, just a bit north and west of Lakewood. Ron

    AGV Helmets?

As the shield ages, it does lose some of its anti-fog properties. After 2 years, my shield will now fog at a stop on a cold day. Ron

Oh, and let me add that the brackets are very well done! Ron

Hella FF50 Driving Lights & Bracket Kit

Since I have your brackets already, do you sell the relay, switch, wires and protectors separately? Are the electrical compnents in the form of a harness, or are they separate? Thanks, Ron

    AGV Helmets?

I've worn AGV helmets for years. Of course since Valentino Rossi wears an AGV, that must make me every bit as good a rider as he is! :D There was a small interlude when I replaced a crashed AGV with an Arai. With all the hoopla about Arai, I found that it was a very nice helmet - and I liked...
