    hjc helmet

Trini, Make sure you try one on first, particularly if you like to ride with glasses on (prescription or not). B) They don't seem to have much relief for your glasses and press the frames uncomfortably. IMHO :headbonk: I wanted to pick up the new Carbon fiber model, too tight on the...

    Strapping down the '06

I have always tied my bikes down using the soft tie downs through the lower triple clamps. Besides having a secure attachment point, there is an extra benefit of keeping the ratchet mechanisms and S-hooks as far away from the upper plastics and tank as possible. Any wear marks(if any) in the...

    Has anybody installed Motivation Sliders

I used a slightly different method to install a pair of sliders on my BBird. I mounted a laser level with a crosshair pattern on a tripod a few feet away from the bike. With the fairings off, I centered the crosshair precisely on the center of the factory bolt head. I then installed the...

GM To Cut 25% of Work Force

Not to start a socio/political thread here, BUT...... Many folks, particularly the coastal types, have had some good reasons (excuses) NOT to buy domestically produced cars in the past. The big three weren't listening, period. Well, the quality, mileage, bang for the buck, operating costs...

    California Scientific for an 05?

I have recently installed the Cal Sci Tall shield on my '05. I'm 6'0" /32" inseam. I also have a Rifle touring shield. As far as I can tell the Cal Sci shield lets a bit more air circulate around it's narrower sides, as well through the center ports to cool you off a bit more than the barn...

    best headlight modulator

I have installed Kisan modulators on all of my bikes as well as my buddies. I enthusiastically recomend them to others. They are generally easy to install, and are very effective in getting other driver's attention. B)

Easy footpeg installation on Wild Bill's brackets

Hi everyone, I was looking for a pair of good looking, yet longer than stock, footpegs to complement my forward-mounted bracket kit. I have previously installed Kuryakin pegs on peg extensions on the rear (wife loves them). A matching pair up front would have been nice, but, they were a bit...

    First Aid Kits

I have a first aid kit that I take on hunting trips that always includes a package of QuickClot. I always end up giving a kit to the guides for them to have, just in case something goes really wrong in the boonies. It's a small package of powder, that has a pretty long shelf life and may keep...

    Lesson time (forest creatures)

I took a trip a couple of years ago in the Canadian Rockies. Jasper (fun place), Lake Loiuse(pretty), and Banff (tourest trap). There is an absolutely gorgeous drive up through a National Park from Lake Louise on up to Jasper. Every bit as scenic (if not more so) than Denali national park, in...

    Auto turn signal cancel

If I recall correctly, mine has a setting for 10,20, or 30 flashes before timing itself out. I may try the brake light switch mod to keep the unit on during long traffic lights, as well as selecting the 30 flash interval(instead of 20). BTW It's quite easy not to notice that the turn signal...

    Mag-knight magnetic tank bra

Heat gun........ nawwwww!! :focus: Just let the fuel level in the tank run down till it only has about a gallon or so left in it. That will warm up the Mag Knight, and just about everything else! :beach:

    FJRandy's compact Nautilus install

Would there be any clearance issues on an ABS equipped bike? Could you mount the compressor somewhere else behind the plastic, perhaps near the area of the battery?

    Tank Bag

My Joe Rocket MANTA bag is small, streamlined and carries my small stuff quite nicely. It lays pretty low on the tank as well. It's about a perfect size for days when I don't want to mount a large bag on the bike and carries easily into a store! It also comes in 4 or 5 colors. :D...

If "Glove Nirvana" can exist, I think I've found it

I think that some other high end glove manufacturers are stiching the last two fingers together for SAFETY reasons. It makes sense assuming you can get used to the finger restriction.
