Sounds like mileage isnt really an issue. She has put 22,000 on her ninja 650 in the last 3 years so the FZ1 should be good for a long time. I found a brand new 2012 on sale for 7600 plus fees. With a new one I can get the yes warranty..Hmmm decisions decisions

I figure I will just swap it out for the longer trips. I wont be using the smuggler anyway on the trips since I usually like to strap a bag on the back seat. Its only 5 bolts and takes about 5 minutes to swap.
