Court Strikes Down Illinois Ban on Concealed Carry

I haven't lived in Illinois for quite a while, but when I was living there you could transport a firearm unloaded and in a locked case. Kinda silly, just like silly noise. I wish I could have ridden my FJR through Illinois today but it was too cold.

Court Strikes Down Illinois Ban on Concealed Carry

Yay, I don't have to pack up my LCP when I ride my FJR through Illinois anymore.

    Streets & Trips 2013: $14.95!

Yep, I think they were just a little slow changing the price this morning.

    Nolan N104

I've been wanting a flip-up helmet ever since I bought the FJR. I can't really snack wearing a full face helmet, and 220 mile stretches without food is punishment for me. I tried HJC's offerings, and the Nolan N90 and found them to be too round, causing enough forehead pressure to be unbearable...

2013 Iron Butt start location ?

I think Portillos is the only thing I miss from living in Illinois. For me, it has to be the Italian beef, dipped. Oops, drooling.

    My 2013 FJR has arrived.....

Well, at least you've got the concept, maybe need to work on the particulars. Congratulations to the OP on the new bike, I'm interested to see how the different power maps are utilized. I'd love to have cruise control, maybe someday.

    My 2013 FJR has arrived.....

Blessed are the 2nd gen owners, for without them there would be no 3rd gen. :clapping:

    My 2013 FJR has arrived.....

So, a little over a month from birth to sale. My 2010 was born 5/10 and I bought it new 4/12 at an obviously reduced price. I wonder what Yamaha projects for the '13 model sales. Think we'll see any sitting on showroom floors in 2015?

    I forgot...

Enjoyed your report Rocket. We've only lived in the Lafayette area a few years, transplanted from Naperville, I'm sure WheatonFJR knows where that is. I'm recently retired and have just begun exploring southern Indiana and into Kentucky this past summer. The last time I was down that way, I ran...

What did you do to your FJR today?

Just rode the FJR a bit, but refurbished the interior of my 3 year old HJC CL-15 helmet, new liner, new cheek pads, and chin curtain. It was getting sloppy side to side and very noisy, even with ear plugs in place. When new, it came with 17mm cheek pads, I replaced them with 25mm pads and hope...

    What;s in your neighborhood?

Nice to see a midwest ride report. I stopped in Galesburg this past summer for gas while on a trip west and was shocked I didn't have to prepay. Must be good honest folks living there.

Any issues w/ the 2010 model...?

I bought my 2010 new this past April. Other than the less than stellar BT021 tires, no issues. But then I've only put 8k miles on it so far.

HELP! Middle gear driven shaft question

Thanks Wheaton, I saw you were at EOM and wasn't expecting a quick response. While I was lubing the shift lever pivot, I wiped off the seepage and crud that had collected. So far, after a couple hundred miles, so good. The bike is still under warranty, but I'd hate to have to take it in. I did...

HELP! Middle gear driven shaft question

WheatonFJR, I'm curious as to the resolution, I'm seeing some similar crud in this area on my 2010.

Still getting over the shock. (High Bandwidth)

Agree on feeling nervous for Bonnie. I think if I was traveling with Ken, I'd insist the first stop of the trip would be a boarding kennel. I'd be more than happy to pay the fee.

What did you do to your FJR today?
