    FI Cleaner ?

What about using Techron on your last fill up before your next service? So for me, I could do it at 3800 miles and then take my bike in for it's 4000 miles service which includes an oil change.

    Idyllwild, Ca.

I had a great ride yesterday. I ended up taking the 243 down to Banner then going through Palm Springs and taking the 74 back up. Both really are excellent roads. I loved that Winding Road sign for the next 22 miles on the 243. Both the roads are well maintained and were in excellent condition...

    Idyllwild, Ca.

Well, I'm planning on leaving at 0630 to 0700 tomorrow, and that should put be at the Idyllwild Cafe around 0930 to 1000. If any of you are up there, stop by, maybe we can ride around after breakfast. Btw, my real name is Flint.

Mesa Grande, East & South Grades of Palomar

Mesa Grande, East & South Grades of Palomar Mountain, Sunrise Highway. I had a really bad stomach ache last night and couldn’t sleep at all so I called in to work and used a sick day. When I finally woke up I felt somewhat better, so I decided to make the most of what was left of my day off...

    Idyllwild, Ca.

I'm thinking about taking the 243 down from Idyllwild to Banning and then the 10 through Beaumont to the 79 and back to the 74 and I can just head back the way I came. Seems like a really nice loop. Just checked the weather and it should be sunny and cool all day, perfect riding weather.

    Jacket Advice

Me and my wife both use Frank Thomas jackets. I have a mesh one for hot days and the other for colder weather. Both are waterproof, but you need to zip the waterproof liner into the mesh one. The other has a liner and is really good for cold temps. Here's some links...

FJR poor choice of 2-up city riding?

We were out riding yesterday and I was asking my wife what she didn't like about the FJR. Her biggest complaint was getting on and off when I have the side bags and top case on it. She says it's much easier to get on and off when I leave them at home. Her other complaint is that her knees are...

FJR poor choice of 2-up city riding?

I’m 5’7”, 210lbs with a 29” inseam and my wife is 5’2” and about 135lbs, and I have no problems riding through the city with her back there. I can hardly notice her back there, and both of my feet are actually flat on the ground when I stop with her on the bike. But, I have no idea how that...

    $&*%@ colors!!!!!

$800 to $1000 for a custom paint job isn't that bad at all, especially considering all the money I've spent on gear and the few farkles I've done so far in just under 3 months. Hell that Garmin 376C with XM Radio is going to set me back about $1400 with the mounts. Plus I still have to buy a...

    Idyllwild, Ca.

This is a really nice ride for me coming up through Ramona, past Lake Henshaw, past Warner Springs, through Anza and past Lake Hemet, and then finally up into Idyllwild. I want to do it on my FJR while the weather is still nice. I just took my wife up there this past Saturday for her birthday in...

Damn, I'm going to check my locks when I get home tonight. A tube of blue Locktight came with the Throttlemeister I installed Sunday and I finally installed my top case last night. Sorry about your lock man, and thanks for the tip.
