    Extended Warranty

I just picked my FJR up from D&H this past Saturday. I also bought the YES and here is a quote off the paperwork given to me by Renaa at D&H. "If you do not recieve your actual Y.E.S. contract within 60 days, call Yamaha at 1-800-962-7926 right away. The offical Y.E.S. contract and...

    Skyway sliders

I can't agree more. I got the sliders from Ian and put them on my 06 this past Sunday. They look great and are super easy to install. Great all around product. :clapping:

    Recommend a dealer in Tampa?

Can anyone recommend a dealer in the Tampa Fl. area who has a good rep and experience with FJR's? Right now I have a appointment set up with CAHILLS of Tampa, but I have no idea if they are any good or not. Any help is appreciated. :)

    Cullman, AL, D&H Cycle

Picked up my bike today (Saturday) and I have to say "ditto" on the kuddo's for D&H. What an absolute class act they are. Great people, knowledgable and so very friendly. Wish they were my local dealer. 5 stars all the way for these guys....... :clapping:

Picked up bike and got info from D&H

I know what you mean, but this is what they put in each of the bikes when they change the oil. They said that this oil is much better than the yamaha oil and it is great for the bikes. Just passing on what the mechs told me.

    600 mile checkup

When I picked up my bike today I asked the D&H Mechanics about the drive splines coming from the factory without enough lube. They said that the lube in there is fine and nothing will break or prematuely wear out with the lube in there. They said to wait until I change the tires to have it...

Picked up bike and got info from D&H

Today I picked up my bike from D&H. First let me say that they are a class act and great people. The mechanics gave us (another person was there pickiing up their bike as well) a run down on the bikes and some helpfull hints if we do any of the service ourselves. First, they highly recommend...

Picking up at D&H May 10 - couple questions...

They told me that they VIN inspection has to be done, period! Also, this bike is being bought out of state, that may have something to do with it.

    rear ended this morning

So very glad that you are ok. My God, it could have been so much worse. Take that ******* to the cleaners. Take him and his insurance for all you can. Take no prisoners. Make that driver pay for his carelessness, for your life could have been ended in that situation you describe. Thank God...

    Garmin and Bluetooth headset

When I ride I hate to be bothered with the rest of the world. Therefore I turn my phone off and only use it if I need to make a call. No need to ruin a perfectly good ride with nagging phone calls.........

Picking up at D&H May 10 - couple questions...

"But regardless of the temp tag situation in Aladamnbama, a new owner should be able to provide the DMV in his/her home state all the information need to pre-register the vehicle before pickup. I know here in Florida, all you do is show up with a bill of sale, a VIN and a check...bingo, you get...

    RAM mount on left bar

"Sorry to hear you bought J&M equipment. I think you would be far happier with an Autocom or Baehr unit." Personally I think the J&M is a great peice of equipment. I use it, my buddies use it and it works great with no problems noted as of yet. Having a CB on long trips is great. The weather...

Picking up at D&H May 10 - couple questions...

"And D&H's assertion is ridiculous - does anybody really think those with a badge keep up on other state's traffic laws? Bueller? Has anybody every seen the traffic code for their state? It's a freakin novel. Hard enough to know all that's in it, much less 49 other states." I agree. However, I...

    2006 Headlight adjustments

I use to do it with my BMW every so often. I would just point my bike towards a wall from about 30 feet at night and adjust from there. That way I could see where the light was moving to as I made the adjustments.

Picking up at D&H May 10 - couple questions...

I called D&H about a temp tag a couple of times. They told me that in Alabama they don't put temp tags on bikes cause you have 10 days to get it registered. They said that other states know this and "should" abide by it since the bike was bought in Alabama and they don't give temp tags. They...

    Fork Brace for 06

Has anyone put on a fork brace for an 06 FJR? I just called MCL and he did not know if it will work or not as he has not measured an 06 yet for the fit. Have the forks changed for the 06 or the spacing of the forks? Anyone? I go to pick my 06 up on 13 May and I would like to get a fork brace...

    Linked Brakes and ABS

"And, because the brakes are linked, using the rear pedal or the front lever alone does apply brakes at both ends...but because each controls a set number of pucks, it should be fairly easy to understant that using ALL of them you will achieve maximum braking for the bike." I thought that on...

    Insurance for FJR

Thanks. I went ahead and got in touch with Dairyland/Sentry and what a huge difference. Geico wants $920 for Arizona while Dairyland/Sentry want $504 for a years worth of coverage. The kicker, Dairyland is covering more than Geico for less. Where do these companies get their pricing from...
