    The Taser

Hey S76, I was wondering: that circle game you used to play... do you ever find yourself transposing numbers, or seeing "b"s as "d"s ? Just wondering how the brain had handled all the electrical discharges. Synapses still firing okay, bud? :D

Um Gone Play Tha Race Card

why did someone inject race into this web forum?! I have been offended by other excremental effusions on this board, but this really is the nadir. This forum is a place to discuss our addiction to motorcycles, and one type of mcycle in particular. (I was on the 12 step program for...

    FIRST HIT & RUN COLLISION

Okay, it's not a totally good story, this one, but thank the gods you are okay and you found the basretard so he has to pay. I guess they got the same kinda a-holes and idiots in your country, as they do in ours! Stay safe! ;)

    Sad News Update

Steve, thanks... ...but this bit of news is just too damned weird. Very strange thing. I'm truly sad.

    lawinter

I'm sorry to read of Larry's death. I signed the guest book for his Obituary. These ocurrences always make me reflect about myself as a rider, and as a husband. But then, I get on my bike and ride to work on I-95 in South Florida traffic, and I realize that we're all crazy and there's no...

1:12 Scale model of '06 FJR

Damn! I was just there less than a month ago and he was blowing out a whole bunch of the motorcycles. I bought several. I didn't see the FJR or I would'be bought it. I've dealt with these people before and they've always been straight with me. The owner is not real talkative in person, unless...

    GIVI monolock RACK ONLY NEEDED

you don't seem to be getting much response on this, so I was curious if you had tried to contact the GiVi folks see if they would be willing to sell you one? I don't know if they'd sell you just the rack (don't see why not)? It might cost a little more, but... Vinnie

    Teerex bites the dust

I'm always sorry when I hear that a rider has gone down. But your post gave me chills since I sometimes ride with my wife, and I would be real hard on myself if my wife ever got hurt. :( I'm sorry this happened to you both and I hope for your speedy recovery. As folks so succintly put it...

    NewMex riders

Hey Chiri1, I got back into riding (after almost 20 years) on a 1997 Suzuki Marauder. Did the Dragon on it without a problem. Was #131 in the Marauder-Intruder Group (numbers over a grand now). Bike was low to the ground (always scraped bottom on the bike trailer ramp), was fast and handled...

    NewMex riders

I appreciate your responses. My wife and I tow the bike out West once every few years and do some riding. Love the Cortez-Shiprock-Farmington-Durango loop. Done the Durango-Silverton ride a few times. Been up on the Mesa a few times. But we've been thinking about doing the trip on the bike...

    FJR Down

Always hate hearing about a rider going down BUT Man, you're soooo damned straight that you rode it home after the whole thing, so now it's just a pain in the wallet. But you know, the last time I "lost my balance on a bike" and cracked it all up (a fully faired and loaded Concours on a stupid...

    Passenger Comfort

My wife is 5' 7" 132 lbs: has been on 200 - 250 mile rides on our '92 Concours, our '99 Trophy 900 and the '03 Trophy 1200. All had top boxes for her to rest on, as does the FJR (Givi w/ no back pad). She prefers the FJR -with OEM seats- to all before. The Connie -being shaft driven- rated...

    Florida dealers with "tick" experience?

bought mine at Broward Motorsports... 10K miles so far, waiting for the ticking... Hope it never comes! <_<

    Non-sweepers

Wanted to share that: My dealer had to order new gauges for my FJR. ('05). I've had an inconsistent problem since soon after I got the bike. The gauge needles wouldn't sweep on first start up. After idle, I would back it up, roll onto the driveway and turn it off. Sometimes, the gauges...

    bolt specifications

Got Staintunes Came with two allen head bolts with 17mm nuts w/plastic inserts. Besides that, does anyone have specs on the thread and gauge of this bolt? YESssssss, I lost one. :erm: I can get by without it, but would like to match it. If anyone has any idea, I'd greatly appreciate it...

    1. Shows you what a stand-up company MamaYama is and, :o 2. There will be some bone gnawers who'll demand their money back and everybody else won't careand keep theirs and, 3. there's always that one dealer who'll buy them all... B)

    2006 International Accessories for FJR1300

I always ask nicely...even when I'm paying for something. :) Thanks for the tip. The iPod charger has a coiled cord of about 4', so there shouldn't be any problems. Thanks again...

    2006 International Accessories for FJR1300

I like the power plug. Would like to keep my iPod plugged in on long trips. I know BMW makes something like it for their bikes. Anyone know where I can get something similar for the FJR? I'd love to retrofit my '05 with that new glove box that the '06s have. Or does anyone know where one can...
