    Biketoberfest dangers

I always hate hearing about a mc rider down. Biketoberfest has already started ugly: "A string of accidents on a dark, rural road ended with two cars slamming into a group of motorcyclists participating in Biketoberfest, killing four people." It's a nice, easy ride to leave the...

    Art of the MC

that's funny Bobby. :haha: Somewhere else either on this board or the FJRowners.com there was a thread about some guy who was triying to decide about buying the bike or not because of his fiance. Everyone gave good advice but, the bottom line is that "you only get one chance at making this a...

    Art of the MC

I posted this exact same thing at the FJROwners.com site, so NO!, you're not seeing double and it's not deja vu! The Guggenheim Museum's "The Art of the Motorcycle" -which was presented both in New York and Las Vegas- will be at the Orlando (FL) Museum of Art from Jan. to June of 2006. The...

    Deer Strike

Out of thread and out of mind--- Man, I refuse to watch WWF 'till they put David Duke and Doggie Dog (Snoop) in the same ring, so what's the fun of going trhu' Bama, SiSiPee, or Luziana without flippin' a few rednecks? Who knows, they might appreciate seeing the Whitewing hanging from the gun...

Tail Of The Dragon- Deal's Gap N.C.

I've been on the Dragon twice. Once on a weekday. Both times were crowded and both times I saw and assortment of: logging trucks; vans hauling trailers with 8-12 canoes/kayaks; a UPS van and many pick-up trucks, along with all of the other cars and bikes (and cruisers with two up). In the...

    Fjr1300 Corbin Smuggler Trunk

Tom I've seen the one for the ST1300 and -if truth be told- it is a quality piece. It is very sturdy material, feels very solid, hinges are strong, black anodized, and the locking button/key mechanism is good quality. It is completely lined inside with felt-like material. It is cavernous...

    '06 FJR1300

IMHO I think that all of the OEMs are moving AWAY from cruise control. I think they see it as a safety issue on the "sport" touring bikes. Note that neither the new BMW S, nor the ST1300 have it. don't know how right I am, but it just seems that way... :erm:

    Fjr1300 Corbin Smuggler Trunk

Corbin makes Smugglers for many other bikes. The FJR was just another bike for them and a "come-lately" in fact. I think Corbin may design a mold for these things and then make the item as they are ordered. I know that sounds crazy, but the two people I know that have ordered one of these...

    Fjr1300 Corbin Smuggler Trunk

I would love it if we could do a group buy, but I don't think Corbin is known for such things... A break on the price would mean more gas in the tank.

    Pic's Of The New FJR

Whoa, I just found that pic that Warchild posted... Man, I've had some real nice farkles in my life but, nothing ever quite so...ahh..."pneumatic"? "enhanced"? can't find the right word... Is she from Silicon Valley, then?

    Now I'm Worried

wow!, I've never gotten that many miles out of my '05. I've even noticed that at 100-110 mph the drain under the gas tank opens up and I can actually see the fuel gauge erase the ever smaller bars. I'm going to try riding under 90mph from now on for a long ride (Aaarrgghh! that's going to be...

    Pic's Of The New FJR

I'm not running out and buying an '06 (I can't afford to, right now), but I'm thoroughly impressed with Yamaha. Yes, it took them a few years. Yes, they didn't let us know that the '05 was end-of-a-model year. Yes, it weighs more and costs more. But the improvements are way beyond just...

    After Reading The '06 Specs...

...and reading the latest Cycle World comparo ("Grace, Pace & Race") and how the '05 compared, I'm glad I stretched my budget and bought it -title is in the drawer. Those who can afford the '06, more power to ya, but I won't be jealous...I'll be riding. One of the CW writers called it "the...

    Custom Jacket

I'm assuming most of you are dealing with Zirin5555. Just wanted you to know that Siamseller (who also has a better e-bay feedback record) offers the same jacket for about the same price. He has e-mailed me a couple of times about a "group price." I'm not trying/wanting to step on anyone's toes...

    Custom Jacket

well, remember, "yokoamadeus" has them with a starting bid of $50, so I think this whole thing is open to some major negotiation.

    Custom Jacket

I know nobody on these boards is a fool, but I'd offer just a small warning: Please note that yokoamadeus has no track record with e-Bay. This vendor is, seemingly, different from the one henry has been dealing with (Zirin5555) who also seems to be different from SiamSeller. All of these...

    Euro-spec Pass Switch

don't know if it helps, but those look like the type that all Triumph bikes come with -standard issue. Maybe a local Triumph dealer would have them...? :)

    Corbin Announcement

Thank you for taking it upon yourself to do this. I appreciate it. Anyone of us could deal with Corbin on this, so if you need help let me know. IMHO: I think that if you're going to talk to them about a group buy, they're probably going to want to know what kind of numbers you're talking...
