    Understanding Suspension Setup

In addition to tweaking the suspension to your liking and riding preference, I would suggest getting a forkbrace. I was able to really tell a difference after installing a forkbrace on my FJR. The front end felt a lot more stable and planted in turns and turning in general was quicker and...

    Splooge on the rear wheel

I also have the occasional splooge on the rear on my 04. But it started after I took of the wheel for at tire change and the driveshaft maintenance. I probably was bit generous on the moly paste. Because that's what I see on the rear. It is also not as much as you have on yours. If I were you...

Gps At Cost To Forum Members From Auto Nav 2000

Hi James Will you be getting the new City Navigator NT 2008 map update for the Garmin units? And if yes how much will you sell them for? Are there any discounts for FJR owners on that? I bought a Zumo from you guys last year under the special $50 membership program. What a great unit btw. Let...

GPS Group buy membership for Zumo or any other GPS

James Great to see that you are trying to give this community a good deal. One question. How do I sign up for the discount? I am definitely interested in a Zumo when they are available. Thanks, f1fan

Feej sightings... Willville Biker camp, VA

Hi Heidi I had no idea that you were going to be there. We could have met up somewhere. It's only 50 min from my house. I wasn't there, but a few of the local TVR guys went that are also part of the ADV riders group. The TVR actually had their annual camp at Willville this past weekend. Did you...

    Another Fork Question

Thanks for the comments guys. I see now that there is no other way that would get the job done properly. Ionbeam is right, it's the first time intimidation that's getting me. But, I need to do it. It's an '04 and I have never changed it. I am fearing the old oil to be pretty nasty.

    Another Fork Question

I don't want to hijack the thread for my question, but it is somewhat related and I didn't want to start another oil related thread. Earlier in the thread dobias mentioned a website that compared the weight and the viscosity of different fork oils. After reading the article on that website I...

    Pandora bites the dust...

This is insane. What is going on with all these accidents? I am glad that the guardrail and your gear kept the damage to a minimum to you and Pandora. Hit a guardrail myself and broke my leg a few years back. I am happy to see that you didn't get hurt. Plastic and metal can be replaced, flesh...

    Teerex bites the dust

Gee Stef, what's going on? I haven't been on the board for a few days and people are falling of their bikes left and right. I guess it's the start of the season. Glad to hear that you and your wife are alive to tell. Hope you both heal fast. I have been there myself.

    O2 sensor chip

Thanks for the info guys. That was what I was looking for.

    O2 sensor chip

Anybody else seen these on ebay? O2 sensor chip My guess is they work like a very scaled down version of the PCIII. I like the fact that it is supposed to smooth out throttle response. Don't really need additional hp on the FJR. I assume that it's all at the expense of higher fuel consumption...

    Old Dominion FJR Group

My total trip mileage was 471. Here are the few pics that I took. Last pic is at a stop on the BRP on my way home. What a great time it was. Can't wait to meet again and explore some more roads. Ingo

    Old Dominion FJR Group

Shields, glad to hear that everything was alright when yopu stopped. It was definitley to hot for liners. It was the first day this year that I actually broke a sweat riding. A thermometer in Roanoke showed 81°F. I also enjoyed the ride with you and David up to Waynesboro. That weekend was a...

    Old Dominion FJR Group

Looks like everybody made it home OK including me. Tim, I hope you made it back OK as well. Let us know. I had a great time and a blast. Everybody I met was just great. Hard to believe that what had been total strangers before can meet and hook up for a ride that perfectly. As Gary...

    Stator Interest?

Wow, this may be one of the best news for the FJR community in a long time. If it works I am in for sure. Can't wait for WC to start putting it through the paces. :dribble:

heated vests vs. heated jacket liners

I also recently got a heated jacket liner from Gerbing in addition to the heated gloves and I can't say enough praise. The jacket liner is made to your measurements and fits very snug. It has an elastic waistband, which will close out any air creeping up from the bottom. The neck is heated as...
