MCML, I just ordered 2x SB8125L for the front and 2x SB7100 for the rear and the clutch. I got a 2004 FJR w/ABS. There should be no third number for that model year. At least not that I know.

The most I ever got was 44 mpg. That was 238 miles at cruising speed mostly slab at 500-1000ft. I normally get around 38-40 depending on my riding style. Last Sunday I got 41 on mostly curvy backroads with an easy throttlehand.

I have to agree with FTLFJR and Bluestreek that this is a very topheavy bike. Maneuvering the bike at slow speeds can be very tricky. Once it reaches a certain lean angle there is no stopping, unless you're the Hulk.

Wow, I guess the nagging of thousands of FJR riders found an ear in Japan. Wonder if they'll extend that option in the US? Maybe one or two model years later than our friends in Europe.
