    Regarding Chainsaws

Heating 100% with wood for last 5 years. When heating oil hit 4$ + per gallon I put in a Napoleon stove. Best thing I ever did! ****** around with cheap saws then bought a used Makita 6421 Home Depot rental saw for $200. It's a Dolmar commercial 64cc saw runs all day long never bogs down built...

    First Bike?

Had a 1977 Herculese ISDT 125cc 7 speed. It had a narrow power band and you were wide open or bogging out fouling plugs. Was like having an on off switch for throttle. With 7 gears you were always shifting. Put a Lectron flat slide carb on it a d the bike was 100% better! Don't miss it one bit...

Hey Cav I would de farkle as much as possible. I stripped everything from my 04 and recovered an extra $1000 that I would have lost leaving it all on the bike. It took 6 months to sell my mint 2004 with 28k on it for $4000. Good luck with sale! BTW thats a handsome tank bag

Off road playing in the dirt...

All dualsports and enduro bikes are a compromise. Good on the road usually means crappy off road.In the last 15 years i have gone thru 2 DR350's a honda xr650l a DRZ400 and currently run a Husky WR250 two stroke. The best overall to me was probably the DRZ. A little heavy but suspension was...

Looking at trading my 08 M109R2 for an 08 FJR...thoughts?

Hope it works out for you. The fjr is an amazing machine. I traded my 91 Goldwing 1500 for a low mileage 2004 fjr. The guy said the fjr hurt his neck and the riding position was too laid down on the tank for him. I remember the test ride well. I got out on the open road and cracked the throttle...

Have you ever gone without a windscreen?

On short local rides i really enjoy a bike with no windshield. Tried the fjr without it once and was really impressed how quiet and smooth the airflow was compared to the stock shield. A rifle tuning block solved most of thr turbulence i ssues on my gen 1

    British streetbike and Italian dirtbike!

Somehow after 25 years if owning nothing but Japanese built dirt and street bikes I now own a 2000 Triumph Sprint RS ans a 2010 Husqvarna wr250. I sold my 2004 fjr about 18 months ago because I wasn't using it much and was second guessing street riding in general. Living in NJ with all the...
