    Bosch 3323 oil filter

I just bought a new Bosch 3323 from Autozone and it's the convex typy, no workie. O'Rielly had the concave, works fine. Go figure. I now prefer the gaudy yellow Purolator filters.

    Arkansas Run March 27th-30th

I'm with Pants, need to clear Thursday and Monday. After all the rainy weather, I'm ready for some dry roads!

    Event matrix for the board

An event calendar would be nice. Something to view upcoming events by date instead of region. Lots (most?) of us ride out of the region in which we reside, so I'm surprised this hasn't been done already. Other forums I'm familiar with have their events posted on the main forum page in...

    Wrecked the '15 already

Sorry for your get off buddy. Sounds like this falls into the category of '**** happens'. I don't really feel like getting into the physics of residual heat and such, but it was 81 freakin' degrees here just a couple of days prior (and pretty near the melting point of lead for months before...

    Throttle on, engine off!

Well, the idle was set a bit low, around 800rpm. I adjusted it up to 1100, will see in the coming days how it goes. thanks

    The 9th State

Y'all are way to gracious to Pants. I taught him everything he knows. ;) Btw, we did have a fantastic week of riding, camping and feasting. Almost everything in the RR is true.

    Throttle on, engine off!

Thanks for the insight. I have to agree with the consensus. What's the old quote about "40,000 Frenchmen can't be wrong....." I forget. My gut feeling is it's nothing as serious as grounds or connections, since it only occurs from idle at restart. I've never had an issue while under way...

    Throttle on, engine off!

I guess I don't know the exact warm idle rpm. It can't be off very much, but I'll check this evening. I saw a few posts concerning that issue, but didn't think the symptoms matched. Thanks

    Throttle on, engine off!

I'm not much of a mechanic, so maybe somebody has seen this issue and can offer a diagnosis. My 2011 has this intermittent issue. Usually with warm engine, after a stop for lunch say, upon restart and brief idle period, applying very little throttle, the engine will just die. It's pretty...

    It's a Tough Job....

Ok, before we lose track. Remember, we're talking about Louisiana. Where the politicians are colorful and .... creative. Why are the dead 'buried' above ground in south Louisiana? Because it's easier to get them to the polls.

    It's a Tough Job....

Hint: it has to do with politics.

    It's a Tough Job....

That's one explanation. Anybody know the REAL reason?

    EOM 2014 - Maggie Valley - 26-28 Sept 2014

I'll find something closer if we go.

    EOM 2014 - Maggie Valley - 26-28 Sept 2014

Remote possibility at this point, but... Is there a recommended camp ground in the area?

    Celebraing a 1st and a 50th

That was a very nice ride (and RR). Well, I should say: that was a very good "eat". More calories per mile consumed than I can remember! My sweetie and I enjoyed it all.

The Un-story was the Real Story

SoCal; Nice clean motel? Kind of an oxymoron isn't it. Anyway, no such thing within 100 miles or so from where we were. I understand if camping is not for you. My Dad refused to camp, but he "camped out" in the Philippine jungles of Leyte in 1944.

is this possible? Wife want me to do this.

I think the research shows a 3 point lighting pattern is the most effective. The 2 extra points being aux lights of your choice mounted lower on the forks, usually in the fender mounting holes. I have Piaas but anything bright will work. The relatively inexpensive leds available now work...

The Un-story was the Real Story

SoCal; Camping is not difficult, uncomfortable or too hard on this "old" body. If you're feeling too old in your 50's, just end it now and not worry about the next 30 years of possible enjoyment. ;) With half decent camp sites, I can camp and ride indefinitely. The people that think...
