yea I see your point, but this past weekend was a perfect example.... I rode my R1 to a bike show on Saturday, and my delima was wear my helment for the ride there and carry it the entire time, or dont wear one at all... I agree the zip tie idea is pretty lame... but sometimes it is just a bear...

Hey all.. I have an 06 R1 which I love to death... Only thing is, I replaced the rear seat with Yamaha's seat cowl, since I will not have any passengers. I also removed the rear foot pegs. Interestinly enough, even though it is a Yamaha part, the new rear seat cowl does not have a spot to hook...

can you tell us what dealer it was? that way we can be sure to stay away from him

I was thinking the same.. The people that have received their bikes, were you all April waiters? I ordered mine on October 25, and currently just have a "April" delivery date.

when did you order yours? Mine was October 25, dealer still just shows a "april" delivery date... I am thinking with my luck it will be the latter part of the month too

Oh yea... I dont know is this is true for every dealer or not, but atleast when my dealer ordered my FJR back in October, Yamaha invoiced him the full amount in October too. If this stands true across the board, that means there are a lot of dealers that have ordered several FJR's, that are out...

And what is the next best thing? Why no payments on course! :) I just paid my dealer the last little bit I owed on my FJR, so when it does get here later this month I will be able to sign the papers and drive away with the title.. :)
