    ROAD TRIP to Prosser, Washington!

Yes, I'm on the East side. There's not a heck of a lot out there, I think, unless we hop off for a bite in Vancouver. May be some stuff farther up the Gorge towards Stevenson. Camas Restaurants Or the old standby Shari's... See if you find anything of interest on the map, and let me know. Jeff

    ROAD TRIP to Prosser, Washington!

Not certain of the game plan yet, but I'm up for an early breakfast if anybody else wants to meet someplace and grab some chow before heading out. Jeff "Map"? "Tank bag"? I just do what the Australian babe tells me to, and I usually end up in the right place... Jeff

    Garmin Sunshade

Touratech carries the same one as cyclegadgets, for a few $$ less. Though they show as back ordered at the moment. https://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/search.l...ade&=Search When I ordered a mount from them a while back, it was shown as back ordered, and they said it would be several weeks, but...

    I need a DVD drive

Tigerdirect.com is another good place to get stuff from. Depending upon the age of your system, external drives may cause some headaches for you. I added an external HP Lightscribe drive with a USB 2.0 card in the machine, and the drive ended up being a PITA. Bought the same type of drive (LG...

    IBA email

Hang in there a little longer Groo! I checked in with Ira the other day (my check was cashed about a month ago), and the response was that I was next up for final certification by Michael, who is out of the country for a couple of weeks. I *hope* to see mine before the end of the month...

    Helmet Speaker For GPS

I like the Shure E2C's... similar to the popular Etymotics (only I got them locally so I could return them if they sucked)... Jeff

    BBQ Run on Saturday

Anybody in Portland or Vancouver interested in a slab run up I-5 to Famous Dave's in Tacoma on Saturday? Weather's looking like it will be pretty nice (60ish and sunny). I think they open for lunch at 11am, so we could bolt here around 9:30ish.... Jeff

    Pacific Coast

It's a beautiful ride, and well worth it. It's fairly easy to hop over to Portland on any one of several routes depending upon how far up you want to go (or how much time you have).

I don't have the hydration kit, but try warm soapy water. Jeff

    New Motorcycle Electrical Book

A couple of photos of my 04 are in there as well. The book looks great - big, colorful photos and clear illustrations. While I haven't had a chance to read it in any detail, it looks like a great reference for people like me that are willing to poke around, but need a little help. I'm looking...

    2007 Volcano Ride

I will be recovering from a summit (hopefully) of Mt. Adams, but this ride is definitely worth it. We went later after the roads were clear, and while it's true some are rough, it's some remote riding that's pretty sweet, and the view from Windy Ridge (especially up the stairs) is killer. I have...

    Latest news from the Superbowl.

Grossman's game against the Saints isn't exactly what I'd call good. However, he's never lost after a bye-week, he's thrown 1 interception to Manning's 6 so far in the playoffs, and his rating is higher than Manning's in the playoffs. Looking back over the season, how'd the Colts do on grass...

    Latest news from the Superbowl.

That's pretty funny considering the Bears and Colts both scored 427 points this season. Of course, Chicago only gave up 255 to the Colts 360... Then again, Chicago was the only team to put up 39 points in the title game, so that does sound like the FBI - head up their a$$. Go Bears!

Meet for Lunch? RTE in Mt. Vernon, OR

I may try to join you. Been wanting to get to the east side of the state for a while, and wasn't able to do my Hell's Canyon thing last season, so I'll see if the timing works out as we get closer... Jeff

    Heated Grips

I solicited some feedback prior to Christmas regarding the Dual Stars vs. heated gloves. I elected to go with the heated grips. Got them installed, and have been held off from riding for various reasons until today. I really like them so far. Good way to spend $35, plus the HeatTroller. It...

    Why are people so rude?

While I stopped short of apologizing (due to his demeanor), I did try to open up the conversation in a friendly manner and without swearing until he kept digging at me. Had he been nicer to me, I would have apologized, even having done nothing wrong. The thread was that particular occurence...

    Why are people so rude?

Scott makes a good point here regarding Portland. I also won't go in to the details, but the law allowing them to run red lights drives me nuts. I know how much room I gave him, regardless of the reasonable questions raised here. I've come close to stuff before. I know what the difference is...
