    ABM rotors have excessive movement

Damn, sorry to hear this. I have about 25K on Galfers on my 03. They are still tight as the day I bought them. They are full-floaters and I'm a hard braker. However, if they were hosed at this point, I'm not so sure I would be disappointed. After all, they (waves in general) are RACING spec...

    Nafo Announced

Iggy- No question others need to step up the plate. Besides, it would not make a lot of sense for the WFO crew to organize a national in, say, Virginia, anyway. No knowledge of the area, roads, accomodations, etc. Sure, help on prize/donations, t-shirt design and such could be anyone, from...

    Nafo Announced

I don't see why IBR and our meetings should be scheduled in consideration of one another. There were 14 FJR's in the rally this year. 14! Heck there were almost 10X that many Feejers at EOM this year. And we know this not the largest event. I vote to keep regionals as they are...the national...

FJR not what is cracked up to be

That would be me. I'm in Powell...right next door practically. PM me, let me look at with you. I suspect the steering head and suspension may need to be adjusted. Also surging can be fixed. Have you tried the wally map?? One ride on my 03 and you'll be changing your attitude about the FJR...

    New appreciation for

I've had a bad back for a lonooog time. Also had some neck pain occasionally. The type of pain that drives you down to the ground/couch and there's not much you can do about except succomb. Generally would "throw it out" after a strenuous activity like you had. I tend to work hard and fast...

    TBS @ EOM

Well, color me unable to tell the time :) Sorry, thought this was going to get kicked off at 4:00. I must have lost that neutron during the Rush concert last week. Cool, so I won't feel too bad about it if I arrive at 6 :) Pucker 1, Pucker South, Highlands, ramble, Gorge....so many...

    TBS @ EOM

With all the awesome riding Jim has cooked up for us, is anyone else thinking it may be tough to make it back to the hotel by 4 on Friday to start this thing? I'll gladly help the Geezer, Jeff, and Tom congo line as soon as I can make back to dodge after a pucker run. But I'm not sure I can...

    Suspension Set-up

Actually a good part of it will me asking you a lot of questions, making adjustments based on your answers, you riding the bike, and coming back to tell me what you do and don't like about it. :drinks: Then another tweak and back out for feedback. It's not like the FJR has a fully...

    Suspension Set-up

To be honest, sag settings are nice to know, but in the end, they are just for reference. They can also vary greatly from test to test depending on the condition of your shock, friction in the linkage/pivots, stiction in the fork legs, and the condition of the oil. Actual settings are going to...

Return route from EOM to Calgary

Tis about the same distance I did the bridge day as well. Massey, ON to Columbus, OH. Had a flat coming over the Int'l bridge, but luckily at the end of it, and was able to get a tow to a dealer (thank you AAA+ with RV coverage, and not a mile too soon as it's not honored in CA. You know, come...

Return route from EOM to Calgary

Everyone should go across that bridge at least once in their life time. Cool, my quota has been met! So does that mean I don't have to cross it ever again??

Return route from EOM to Calgary

Wheaton is right. Stay along the Ohio River (in OH or KY, both are good) west as far as you can go into Missouri. Then north up the Mississipi river valley into Minnesota and go NW BEFORE Minneapolis. Then cross over or stay into North Dakota and Montana. DO NOT CROSS THE BORDER AT...

    Suspension Set-up

Would be happy to advise and alter suspension settings based on your weight, riding style, normal luggage load, and typical road conditions you ride. I's a-bee gittin' purty goodat 'justin sispencion! 'cept I'll be busy tuning throttle bodies. If you are in my TB sync bay and want your...

"They should be hunted to extinction"

    A Cheap Way Out

There is something to be said for saving dollars and finding a cheap solution. However, I've found that you generally get what you paid for. A farkle worth doing is a farkle worth doing right. I've tried the el-cheapo's on cars before and found that they are short lived, have poor reflectors...
