It looks like yours is a Gen II FJR. Not familiar with those myself as I have a Gen I (2004). But on the Gen I the brake caliper bolts are actually hollow. If you overtighten them it is actually possible to cause the bolt to stretch. This makes the center of the bolt pinch (gets narrower)...

As of Nov-2011 my 2005 FJR 1300 ABS is now up to 178,000 km (or 110,000 miles). (That little 11 day this summer really helped... :) )
