I think that's a bene that's often overlooked. After having some fun on good roads and then pulling into a small township where the speed limit drops drastically it's not a bad idea to set the cruise to that 25 or 35 mph limit as you pass through. Easy way to save some $$ possibly.

You may know this already but the cap benefits from pushing down on it with one hand while turning the key with the other. Seems to take the pressure off and allows the key to turn much easier.

You mentioned jumping it with the car battery. I've never done that but believe you don't want the car running when doing so.

Can't remember what was the outcome with the quad but we did get the scooter running. Stopping it though was a different story. :giggle: I hope someone can take you up on your offer so the only thing I'll say is whether you put the minimal work in to get it rideable or go all out restoring it...
