    OEM Bridgestone tire wear

Originally I had an 06 with 020s. The front tire cupped (which was a major flaw of the 020 front tires) by 5K & replaced with an 021. The 06 was totalled in a rear end crash with just under 10K. The 021 was wearing fine, & the rear 020 still had about 1K left on her. Now I never was a fan of...

    Autocom AVi

+1 on under the seat. It's secure & once you have your settings adjusted there really is no need to readjust. The only way I would use a tank bag set up is if I was using the Autocom betwen 2 (or more?) bikes. Here's a pic of mine mounted in the tailsection above my alarm:

+ 1 I'm in New York City & I ride ALL YEAR as long as there is no snow or ice. Many safe miles may you & your FJR enjoy together!

    FJR cornering capabilities

lacofdfireman, You & I are big guys & the stock setting as you have already figured out isn't cutting it. I recommend Jeff Ashe's Suspension Settings. The only adjustment I made was I thought the pre-load a bit harsh & set it at 2 1/2 lines showing. All of the remaining adjustments I found to...

    Vstream vs Stock on '08

Bought my VS a couple of weeks ago from Powersports Superstore too. Great price & fast delivery. Love it! I'm only 5' 10" but it is much quieter & much less buffetting than the stock shield & I ride with it down almost always. If I raise it all the way up it's like riding in a car! (yuck!) Just...

    Flat Repairs

FJRbill, I ordered the Dunlop Roadsmart rear with the rhino coating for $216. The tire alone on the web is $161. So $55 for the coating I thought was reasonable. You won't find him local, but e-mail [email protected] with your application & he'll quote you a price & ship it! His shop happens...

    Flat Repairs

Ignacio, I think you needed to add this choice to the poll: Plug it, check integrity periodically, and install new tire ASAP. I have gone on day trips 300+ miles with a plugged tire & even run as high as 80 mph. But I will not ride 2 up with my wife. After going through two (yes two! due to...

This is going to be FREAKING COOL !

The FJR already has a headlight relay that delays the lighting of the headlights until after the bike has started. If you turn the ignition on you will notice that the headlights aren't on until after you hit the starter. You can tie in the HID lights to this relay (which would be a logical...

Here's one that should make you all nod knowingly!

Even though I prefer the Colder Days of Winter over the Dog Days of Summer, I would never have passed up the opportunity to ride on that trip.

    Foot Guard part number.

Foot Guard Pic & info - Yamaha Canada As nice as they look, the left side covers the sight glass. Which violates one of my rules: Function before style. Otherwise I'd own a Harley. :fans:
