    "TWIST" get's high-sided...

+1 on going to doctor if pains persist. Don't be a hero, it's better to be sure nothing more serious is going on. Besides if it's only contusions the Doc may perscribe Percocets. :yahoo: Yeah, now we're talkin' Get well quick!

Help needed with heated grip install

That blue wire is the constant power for the tail light ( a perect source for the relay). The yellow wire becomes "hot" only when you apply the brakes.

    2008 Saddlebag changes?

Alex, I now have an 08 after previously owning an 06. They are identical.

    08 Tranny

You state that you have 600 miles on the 08 but fail to state if the bike has been in for it's 600 mile service. This is a critical maintenance service where many aspects of the bike are checked (if serviced properly). This tranny problem should be pointed out to the service manager upon...

    Alarm advice please.

I had the Scorpio Alarm on my 06 & it installs easily & never gave me a problem. My recommendation. B)

    Question for '08 owners

As a former owner of a brand new 06 & a current owner of an 08 I feel the need to share my experience. The 06 in stock form was absolutely driving me nuts with the on/off throttle response. I chose the simple way first by way of Barbarian mod with a +7 enrichment across all cylinders. While...

    Picked UP MY 08 Yesterday!

YES!....It feels so good to have an FJR again, & to be riding again since having the 06 totaled. The 08 feels exactly like my 06 (DUH..I know ...it is basically the same bike) but with a much easier throttle pull. If you rode both bikes that is the obvious change that stands out. Only put 27...

    I got christened today

I too believe in the hyperlite brake lights even though they didn't help me (I wasn't braking at the time) when I was rear ended by a 79 year old man. Just glad your OK!

    Autocom in Magnetic Tank Bag

Mike could you post a pic of your setup? (Or PM me)It sounds like an ideal setup. I already have & love my Nelson-Rigg & I'm ordering the autocom soon. It might be a more convienient alternative to mounting it permanently on the bike.

    08 shifting ease?

As a former owner of an 06 FJR, my recommendation to any 06 or 07 owner who is experiencing a clunking/hard to shift tranny is to change to synthetic oil. It will shift like butter & you will only need to change the oil once a year! It's cheaper than buying an 08!

Picked up my 2008 December 8th

Congrats Tom....many safe miles may you & your new ride enjoy together! You now have given me hope that I may get mine before the end of the year. I was pretty sure I wouldn't receive delivery before January...now I have new hope! Please post pics soon!

honda heated grip kit for 06 FJR

I was the one who first put the Honda heated grips on an 06 FJR, not Warchild (he gets upset if you get us confused). I usually set the grips on 2 and that is more than enough to keep my hands comfy. The flashing on the controller usually stops while you are riding...mine does it when I first...

    FJR1300 vs ST1300 vs Concours 14

I agree it is surprising that the ST beats the Concours, but when you think about real world sport touring the Honda is probably the most well balanced sport tourer. It is powerful, comfortable, reliable. I have spent extended time riding my buddy's ST & it is all that. That is what Honda does...

Sliders: Aluminum, Delrin... does it matter?

Motovation Sliders! I've tested them in a tip over & a crash...did their job & held up so well they will be on my new 08! Shoot.... I order sooo much stuff that Vinnie (my UPS delivery man) & I know each other by name & he even stops by a second time in one day if he misses me in the morning...
