    Bridgestone Rebate For Canadian Shoppers

I really like the BT-023... the rear held up for approx 13000 kms (and the front for approx 17000 kms). It did well in rain, etc. I compare them to the Pirelli Angel GT which have been very good for their stickyness. I actually get less mileage from the Pirelli. I would run another set of...

    Best GPS/Mount Combo...

Really love my Techmount... the "best" GPS is what you can afford or the one that offers the features you need (best would be a Zumo if you are looking for waterproof, glove friendly - but they are expensive. So some will say to get a Nuvi and use a ziplok bag). If money is not an issue, the...

    Hello from Tofino BC

Was out on Vancouver Island this summer but out timeline was too tight to include Tofino... I do plan to revisit BC but on the motorcycle next time. Heard lots of good things about Tofino.

    Fork mounted LEDs

https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/163166-darla-install/ My fork mounted LED lights... I know you said that the Clearwater are more than what you are willing to pay, but you do get a complete ready to install bulletproof setup. Love mine.

    Front Tire Cupping/Scalloping

As mentioned by others, some cupping is very normal.... my front has approx 12000 kms (not miles) and it is showing some minor cupping. Nothing to worry about. So it depends how bad it is.

    Earphones

I removed the speakers completely and I replaced the Sena base with this one (which allows you to use earphones/ear buds) : https://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/sena-smh-10-helmet-clamp-kit-for-earbuds.html With the speakers installed, I would believe that clearance would be too restricted.

    Earphones

I started with the speakers but I did not like the volume being set high in order to hear things properly...so I tried a new setup with ear buds. I was looking for hearing protection as well so my ear buds offer noise isolation (up to 32 dB). What a difference, music was clear, phone calls...

    Earphones

I was disappointed in the sound quality of the Shure 215. Returned them and went with the RHA MA750i. Big difference in sound quality. The Shure had a nice build quality but the RHA is as well built if not better.

    FJR not running right

Like Fred W, I think it sounds like a bad TPS (throttle position sensor).... as for the uneven idle, all FJRs do that. My 2009 and 2014 did it. Just curious, how many miles on the bike ? New spark plugs could help and a TBS would not hurt if it hasn't been done in a while.

    Clearwater Lights install instructions?

Here is a link to my Clearwater Darla install which should be very similar to your Kristas..... https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/163166-darla-install/ I have a lot of photos which might help you. I would not dummy down the install in order to get the best usage out of your...

    Earphones

I bought the RHA MA750i ear buds. They are noise isolating (block out outside noise). I love how they are supported over the ear, so they stay put very well. I did an Ironbutt with these and no issues with regards to comfort. They come with different sized ear tips (silicone and memory...

    R6 2003 vs FJR 2001

Quarter mile for a R6 is about 10.7 sec at 211 km/h.... FJR1300 should be about 11.2 sec at 195 km/h. These numbers are from a 2015 motorcycle guide. So, it should be close, but like RossKean, I think the R6 should take it.
