    Picked-up the 2015

Probably a bad angle for the pic.... all was normal for the bars. You will like the Techmount. It makes for a nice touch on the bike.

    Pirelli Angel GT's

I loved the Angel GT. Great handling and they stick to the ground real good. I rode them hard and I never felt like they were losing grip. I got approx. 10k (km) out of the rear. I can't complain. You get great grip as a trade off for some mileage life. I will be going with them again...

    Picked-up the 2015

+1 for the Techmount for the GPS...... photos from 2009 FJR (did the same setup for my 2014 ES). https://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t630/Alleycat711/DSC04457.jpg https://i1317.photobucket.com/albums/t630/Alleycat711/DSC04455.jpg

Think your bike cost some bucks? Check out this one!

Makes spending some of my hard earned cash today for some SpeedBleeders and some 90 degree valve stems seem like peanuts..... And to think I held off the PDM60 ($225 CDN plus tax) farkle. To those who can afford it, hey, hats off to ya......

    Winter Storage RE: Fuel/Battery

Stabil in the gas and I run the engine to get the mixed fuel into the injectors... I use a battery tender continuously for about 3 weeks out of every month (the 4th week, I use it on the quad). I have the FJR in a heated garage (10 degres celcius). I don't like the idea of starting the bike...

    Unauthorized TBS on Gen III?

I ordered the Morgan Carbtune directly from their website (England) and they sure delivered. Talk about prompt service. And not to mention a much better price than on eBay in the U.S.

    New Bluetooth TPMS Coming Out...

The website mentions that the 2-3 wheel model does not have a monitor and that the user NEEDS to have a smart phone in order to use the product.

Undercover Motorcycle Officers Target Cell Phone Users

All for it... The light changes to green and they keep watching their phones instead of focusing on the road. They deserve their fine. Scary to think they are all around us....

    speed bleeders - any tips?

No issues with mine.... makes the job super easy and mess free. Easy install (no teflon tape should be used - they come ready to install with sealer applied). Worth it for me.

    FJR OEM Topcases

My case came with my 2009 (which I bought used with 8500 kms - very low mileage)... when I saw the posts regarding the cracks, I thought I was not part of the stats until I had a good look at mine. It had 3 different hairline cracks all on the bottom coming up the back. The dealer never...

    Canada vs USA?

Ok, so you got me on a technicality. I didn't want to use the word speedo because that brings up a really horrendous mental picture of men's minimalist swimwear.

    Canada vs USA?

    FJR OEM Topcases

I wonder of the 50L case has the same problem as the 39L case.... for those who don't know, the 39L OEM case has an inherent cracking issue around the metal mounting plate glued on the bottom. Numerous posts on the forum : here is one link ...

    Canada vs USA?

Cost wise.... a Canadian FJR ES at MSRP is $18,500... factor in our high taxes and the bike costs approx : a little more than $21,000 CDN. With the exchange rate (as of 2014-12-06) that would be approx. $18,300 US. End of season sale, I picked up my 2014 ES for $16,500 plus taxes. So, the...

    Canada vs USA?

US dealers are threathened with losing their right to sell the brand by the manufacturer if they sell to a Canadian customer. So, even if I wanted to make the trip down, I can't get a seller to make the deal. The reason for the warranty issue is that for example, Yamaha Canada would have to...

I traded-in my 2009 FJR for a 2014 ES... you will love it. However, I did get the chance to put on 1700 kms. Still, winter will be a long one. Dang, I am looking forward to 2015. Enjoy !!!
