Great pix XLR8! The lost coast ride is a real jewel and not many people travel this route and Hwy 3 is alot of fun. I love to do rides in that area. Think I'll start planning another trip up that way soon. :P

I really hate to hear about crashes but glad no one was hurt bad! Just kinda makes me want to slow down again. Heal quickly and good luck with the repairs.

I also took mine off last year and noticed that the bike was running a little hotter sometimes in traffic. Probably the slower speed does not let enough air into the radiator but at higher speeds it actually runs cooler than without the heat mod. That being said, I'm puttin' my inner piece back...

Did you use clamps on it overnight? The first time I didn't use any clamps and it stayed on for about 10k, then became loose so I ripped it off. This time I sanded both surfaces then used 3 clamps. It ain't goin' anywhere now. :P

I think the 001 map is the same as the stock map which is leaner than Wally's Smoothness map.

This was the first farkle I did on my 04 and it get's used alot in the LA traffic, stupid cagers on phones. :angrysmiley: I would suggest all 06 owners to get this farkle done right away! By the way mindtrip a nice writeup.

I took mine off the first time I did a TBS, and after 24k I've had no problems with them popping off or anything. Now it's much easier to remove them by hand without the longnose.
