Question of purchase of 2004 FJR

Question. I am looking at a nice 2004 FJR. One owner with 42K on it. I asked if it had the TICK. Answer, "I don't think so." Wouldn't someone who rode the bike 42K and owned it for 12 years, KNOW if it had the TICK or not?

    Glacier National Park

Was going to post photos taken 5-6-15 but site won't let me post photobucket photos?? Anyway, you can't use the visitors center or parking lot on top yet. They are under 15' of snow. Plows aren't anywhere close to the top. Going to the sun won't open until late June or early July at best.

    Calgary Alberta Shakedown Ride

Did you have time to get a few photos of the Lancaster aircraft in Nanton? It is one of three in the world. They have a great museum for the Lancaster and other aircraft. Really something for such a small town. Here is the museum's web address: https://www.bombercommandmuseum.ca/ Check...

    "Test" riders

I don't let anyone test ride. (I guess I should, if I think they are qualified) BUT, I tell them. What do you want to see this bike do? Hop on the back with me and we will go and do that right now. That way, I'm driving, yet the perspective buyer can hear the motor, see and feel how the bike...

Your opinion m/c crash and insurance

I just ment: Just as in physics, in the world of humans, a given action usually causes a reaction. I agree with your above statement. I hope all will turn out well with all and a fair agreement will be reached by all concerned in a pleasent atmosphere.

Your opinion m/c crash and insurance

"but heartily disagree that this would be an easy case to blame the party who lent the bike."?? All anyone has to do is file and they have blamed the other party. It's pretty darn easy to file a law suit. I think you ment to say it would not be an easy case to win or prove that the lender was...

Your opinion m/c crash and insurance

Please don't attack the messeger. AND I agree with you it is "Complete ********" HOWEVER, This is exectly what a Lawyer would say. AND there are 1000's of Lawyers in Calif. that would just love to get a case like this. Remember, 99.999% of the lawyers in Calif. are ambulance chasers. The...

Your opinion m/c crash and insurance

I was thinking the same thing. The person who you lent the bike to could sue you for letting him ride a bike that he was not qualified to ride. He will say (not me saying this, I'm just playing devels advocate) You are the one who put him in harms way as YOU didn't use good judgement by not...

135 lb. female on an FJR?

Yes sir! She will do just fine on an FJR. And as for the comment on being too small for an FJR, I would christen her a "Female Jr. Rider!" That's FJR enough for me. If she was that cute a while ago. I can see why your afraid to show us a current photo. As I said in my first post. "You...

135 lb. female on an FJR?

Nothing personal, but I would say it has more to do with your daughters looks than skills. Only the finest, most attractive daughters should be allowed to ride an FJR. You are her father, so to you all your daughters are FJR worthy! However, your judgement may be biased do to your love for...

    FRJ A OR AE?

How can you shift (using a clutch) as you say, if your feet are not on the bike?? I saw Kenny Roberts and Scott Parker on TV once. Do I get anything for that? AND who are Dave Aldana and Gene Romero? Should they be my buddies too? Where were you when you saw them last September? Maybe...

    selling my FJR

I never let anyone test a bike I'm selling. I say, "Get on the back of the bike" Then I take them for a ride and do anything they want. Your bike IS covered by your insurance policy, but if you don't have collision or comp. and the rider dumpes your bike. He may not pay you. If he is a...
