Well considering there is no alternative to the stock seat yet, I'll see how it goes :dribble: After reading about the various windshields that are becoming available I think I will wait and see what the Guinea pigs...I mean first lucky and proud owners think of the different shields :D...
I have an email into Cee Bailey to see about availability for 06. Thanks. Thanks to others that have chimed in. Now I just need to decide which seat. Anyone riding a Sargent that they like who is sporting a large frame?
What are the main differences between that shield and a Cee Bailey? Anyone...
Well I took delivery of my 06 last Tuesday and promptly left for a business trip hours later so I have had about 60 miles on her so far. I love the bike but I have determined that there are some changes to be made for me to be comfortable. I am 6'5" and 275lbs and I am looking to change the...
Sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. What a difficult desicion it must have been to decide to continue to ride. I appreciate your adding your thoughts to this thread even though it might have been painful. You gave me food for thought.
:o WOW, I am really gald to hear that you and your wife are generally OK. As an 06 waiter I have spent my winter gearing up. I bought a new full face helmet, leather riding pants and a leather race jacket. I also bought a new pair of boots. I already have gloves. Your story just reminds me that...
There is a place called the riverview resort in Bethel that is very biker friendly. The guy who runs it rides and has a sign next to the name of the place that says "Welcome Bikers". The rooms are 2 bedrooms, livingroom, dining room, bath for about $100.00. The Sudbury Inn has great steak tips...
Sorry to hear of your bikes demise, glad to hear that you're OK. Thanks for sharing, although I know about target fixation, the reminder is a help. I wish you well with your bike. Your going to be a tad sore for a few days.
I was at my Yamaha dealer the other day and I talked to the Finance person and she said Yahama was offering the O% for 6 months on the Yamaha Card. I figure that I will use the 0% for 6 months and pay as much as I can for those 6 months and then refinance though a CU for the difference.
I just used www.shipyourbike.com to ship my bike to Daytona for bike week and he was great. His name is Mike and all he does is ship bikes. He works for many dealers and manufacturers too. Good luck
Get the jacket liner rather than the vest. I have the liner and your arms stay warm as well. When you look at the gloves, consider a few things. The style of gloves that I have are a little bulky and almost too much. You can buy glove liners that are heated and will allow you to wear a less...
Well after I contacted Heli Bars I realized that they are in ME and offered to use my bike as a prototype to design the new ones. I am supposed to call them when my bike is in..then it is off to ME. Thanks for the suggestion.
I wrote to Cee Bailey and I have not heard back yet. Heli bars got back to me in a matter of hours and here is what Carol from Heli bars had to say:
"Thank you for your interest. If I remember correctly the FJR 1300 2006 model has been changed from the 2005 model. I do think that we will...
