Well your friend would not be the first to run a rear ME880 in the rear of an FJR for the IBR. The feedback I get is that it worked well. I have also been tempted to try one, but the images of tread separation of metzler tires keeps me away. Maybe the ME880 has a stellar record of safety?

As I noted earlier, my tire feels worst going into left handers. Chances are it will end up looking like this one as time goes on. That Avon tire is just plain funky looking. There could be 2 things going on here. Aren't these tires dual compound? Maybe the curing process of the rubber is...

Sounds like this rider jumped ship at the right time, but got stuck with a different sort of boat anchor. You just don't read about this sort of stuff over here.
