TechWest BBQ, FJR Refugees, Tire Plugging, and HIDs From Hell!

Great report on last weekend Matt. Was it 300K+ in total miles for the FJR's parked in the garage? IIRC the middle bike in the above photo belongs to Iron Maiden and not the Skoot. It was great to see some familiar faces and I also got to put even more faces to names of fellow forum members...

This Washington State and TechWest Thing

Hey John, Skoot and I are planning on heading south on Hwy395, if we roll into Reno at a reasonably sane hour of the day, I'll give you a call. "Brokeback Rider" LOL

This Washington State and TechWest Thing

Sit tight, I've got the garden hose going full tilt on both of them in the front yard keeping them separated. The bidding for photo's starts at $20. All proceeds go toward "battered biker buddies".

Skyway's Hydration System Group Buy Dec11-24 - Act Now!!

I had some feedback from 1 rider who lost his while out on the road. I have ridden thousands of miles with mine, and no issues, but have also made the same changes to my bike to be on the safe side. This is all explained in the letter that's heading everyone's way. So that means I've had a...

Russell Day Long or Bill Mayer Seat

Roger, I have a Corbin and now a Russell. I can HIGHLY recommend the Russell, in fact, I ddin't think a seat could be this comfortable for long periods, night and day to the Corbin. I'm planning an 800 miles ride today and will report back once at my destination. Clicky here - Report on the...

BIG AUX LIGHTS - A whole new meaning to "go big or go home"

Check out this bad boy mounted up on my aux. light bracket. I did a fit check for someone yesterday. I figure this beast of a Hella FF1000 HID light will cost the rider at least 10mpg. Makes the Soltek look like a pencil flash light. There won't be a single deer that will go unoticed...

Skyway's Hydration System Group Buy Dec11-24 - Act Now!!

Here's a photo to support the parts and instructions that are being mailed out today for everyone who was part of the GB for the hydration system. The fix I'm providing should prevent anyone else from loosing the bag and water jug.

Forks are stuck in locked position

Unfortunately your dealer recommended the worst thing to spray into an ignition system, WD40. I highly recommend you ask him to thoroughly clean the WD40 out of there and apply some graphite in it's place.

    Skyway's Aux. Fuel Cell Kit

I will be posting part numbers today. What seems to be the mix-up here, is that you only need the portion of the bulkhead fitting that attaches to the main gas tank. As long as the bulk head fitting has a 1/4" female NPT thread exiting the fitting, you're golden. A 3/8" ID barbed brass...

How a day with no plans can turn out perfect.

This weekend got off to a fine start. Saturday morning, I had to deal with a slight water leak and had to don the hat of a plumber to get it fixed. :( Before that, I headed to my shop to meet Motorgod and his riding buddy on a BWM GT (sorry Renojohn, they beat you over Ebbets this weekend)...

    Severe stumbling at altitude

Seems a LOT of '07 bikes are experiencing this loss of power at high altitudes, threads and comments are popping up frequently. Are you guys reporting the problem to the NHTSA? This will be the avenue to get some action with this problem. Calling Yamaha won't get you very far. My guess is...

    Need a lawyer

When you say deferral, do you mean have the ticket transferred to a local court? I mention this, because I believe in CA, if you get stopped for speeding a long way from home, you can request that the speeding ticket be moved to your local court. You must however, request this BEFORE you sign...

Rear tire blow out at 80mph in HOV lane

Damn Barry, sounds like you had a close call there. Glad to hear that it went off without incident, despite it being a pucker moment. As TWN mentioned, most M/C policies include towing. I'm using Foremost and it covers the entire US and Canada. Take it easy there. Tilt glass, sip, then repeat!!
