Hotel Website for 07 EOM Reservations

Haven't been on the board much lately, but my reservations are done and I'll definitely be there this year. I wanted to get there early and stay late, but vacation time just isn't available to do so. Heidi and Jim, I can't thank you both enough for your hard work on this. Please allow me to...

    changing fork oil

Gotcha. The new shock will be a godsend! All bets are off right now with worn out suspension. As for rides...I kinda doubt anyone will step up in Ohio. No one has yet, I'm basically too busy to even conceive of doing it for the 6th time. Heidi is ringleading the EOM this year. There is...

    EOM '07

First, I just wanted to say thanks to Heidi for being a ringleader here. Mucho appreciated. Shoot, if you got some of plans together or should I say working on it, I can help with keeping an eye on your beer, er, for security sake, you see, ? :smokin: j/k :) Seriously, if I can help with...

    changing fork oil

Yo B-Well, stiffer springs will change the handling a lot. The key, however is balance. Do you also have a wilburs shock or are you still stock? Stiffening the front will tend to squat the rear more, shifting weight back, and handling prowess suffers. If you haven't upgraded the shock, all I...

    changing fork oil

Correctomundo! I had no idea (I'm the old mcarp) whatsoever that viscosity ratings were not based on simple W ratings. I personally am keeping it simple by using the same brand and viscosity (Silkolene RSF 10W) and adjust clickers and oil height as experimentation factors. Quik...I suggest...

    Canadian Rally Anyone?

I'm interested in riding some nice roads in Ontario. It does not look like planning for an Ohio or WV ride is going too far in the midwest forum. You may want to post this in the Midwest forum for more visibility and input. I do agree overlapping with SWFOG is much less of a problem than EOM...

S.E. Ohio Ramble - anybody gonna organize one?

All in good fun, my friend! But seriously, I had a real good time with you guys (Wheaton, Huron, BugR, Geezer, Geezerette, Zorkler, Powerman, Mike from Long Island, Luv2ride, Julie, geez who else am I forgetting at this late hour??) down in West By God. My tires are just now cooling off...

Barrier strip limits with 30amp relay?

Yep, you are just fine with the strip and your farkles. As others said, you'll max out the alternator long before the barrier strip. Which reminds me to remind you to get a voltmeter!! Also don't forget a strip for the ground wires. This makes for a much cleaner install.

S.E. Ohio Ramble - anybody gonna organize one?

No worries, several of us have met Tom. Us 'mercins done be kraazy, too! :guitar: BugR is who you really want to worry about. Well at least if you bet money to race him! Or outdrink him!

S.E. Ohio Ramble - anybody gonna organize one?

Only beer drinking, hockey loving Canadians, eh? Er...shoot that would include Huron. And Bug R. Can't keep the riff-raff out, can we? :D

    Blue Ridge

I was also caught in hell-ish weather on the BRP this past spring. Right at Mt. Mitchell, the highest point at 6K feet heading south. Right where all the hard core twisties are! Yep..separated from the group too...weather came in fast and strong. Wind blew so hard it literally pushed me off...

S.E. Ohio Ramble - anybody gonna organize one?

I'll come if someone organizes it as well. I will go to WV, SE OH, KY...does not matter. To plan something like this...use the below as a guide. Remember these types of riders there is no lodge, t-shirts, door prizes, etc...so it's a bit more straightforward than a regional event. -Set date...

    Warranty Repairs

I blew a coil in early 03 (forget the miles, but it was less than 3K). Dealer thought it was a fluke, and a totally agree. No harm no foul. But it's starting to tick now after a long hard day of riding. Once the northern riding season is done, it's going in for valve guide replacement...

    2-Line Front Brake Lines

+1 on the full Galfer setup. Love the extra power the rotors provide and the enhanced feel of the braided lines. A rather large difference compared to stock!!

    2006 EOM weekend photo thread

OK, I'm insanely jealous that I had to back out of this meeting at the last minute!!!! ARGHHH!!!!!! Rackin frackin work!!!!!! Good things did come of it....at least that's what I'll keep telling myself to keep from going postal. In the meantime, I'll live vicariously through your photos...

    Planned Rides?

I'm wondering this too. I'm considering just riding the parkway as much as possible and some good old fashioned exploring thrown in. However, if there are must see roads/parks, I'm interested in hearing about them! Sounds like Shady Valley area should be explored in full???

    TBS at EOM

Luv2ride- Oops, you misunderstood. What I meant to say was I've had the room booked for months. I had always planned on going; work almost unexpectedly killed it. But, I'm pretty much set at this point, 'cept for prepping the bike.

    TBS at EOM

Quick-I just registered for real last night...wasn't 100% sure I could go until then. Hotel has been booked for months. Consider me there (meaning in the peanut gallery, drinking donated beer). I'm good as far as the sync goes. But if you could throw in a new top end to get rid of my tick...

    The Pace

I'm thinking a lot of us will be fairly compatible. Yep...no lashings for not keeping up. Getting back the lodge in two pieces (bike, you) is the only real concern one should have. Leave the ego at home. Know where you're going and don't worry about the pack. Be your own dog...you are the...

You Da men, quickie and geez. Wonder what the strafing crew will look like this time? I'm feeling naughty. :sheep:
