Yo, it is totally superfluous to buy the Givi adapter. It costs a lot more money and makes the top box stand up even higher off the plate. Duane's adapter kit is under $20 as I recall and the 3 adapter fixtures can just be left in place without interfering with camping style loads or whatever...
