No, the bolt that goes into the front part of the plastic...panel A.

Thanks for the motivation all. Everything worked out...except the front hex bolt won't take. Not only can I not get it to screw in but when I take off panel A and test the little front portion with the bolt, the opening is too wide. How do I get this bolt in? Everything does appear to be aligned...

Thank you everyone. The weekend went great on every front. Dubbelju Motorcycle Rentals was great. Our RT 1200 was almost brand new. The good news is that Lisa said she will seriously consider my proposal and notify me in writing in six to eight weeks.
