15 miles later and numbed right hand on my new bike

Wow..McAllen, you are way down there...Planning on any riding in Mexico? I was also in the "not much riding in over a decade" club. MSF helped a great deal, but as with you, pon a 250cc. I'm am sure it will be different on the FJR. I'm in about 6 months of riding, and put on about 5,000 miles...

    Vote For Me In November

I guess it started when I turned to my favorite computer web blog and was jolted by the header...I usually have a good sense of humor, but watching what is happening to our country is really difficult, especially from overseas where the perspective is much different.

Some stuff should not be joked about. Bill of Rights If we, as Americans, do not exercise our rights then we don't deserve to have them.

    35th Tokyo Motorcycle Show

Colin, Great report and pix. Seems like the bike culture here in Seoul is similar to Tokyo...scooters are really the rage. The FJR's sold locally here are Euro models, unlike the trade show models in the pix <;^0 I'll be in Yokosuka 4/16 - 4/18----if you're in the area, send me a PM...

    MotoGP race at Jerez SPOILER

Hayden's save was awesome. Stoner really f*cked himself with 2 serious errors, then was a bit of an *** after. This is shown on Star Sports here in Asia, commercial free throughout the race. Amazing to see a crowd of 135,000 supporting thier guy...I was glad he won, he was near perfect the...

    Pazzo lever price changes

Put on my Pazzo's today, and I have to say, very, very nice. The bling factor originally caught my eye, but as stated above, the ergo's on these things ROCK. THe clutch is now very managable, and I am using the front brake more as I should (long rides I would get tired (lazy), and rely more and...

    Quick Newbie Question

One of the best techniques that I have found for creaky hips and knees is standing up on the pegs every so often. The first hour or so I need to do it quite a bit, but it seems to settle in later. Will be putting on the WB/kuryakyn hiway peg set up as soon as the mail delivers them back from...

    Who's comfortable loaning bikes?

Picked up a used GS 750 in '81, asked a friend to follow me home in my car. He flew past me on a long FWY ramp (55 to 22 in Orange CO, CA)...I came around the bend just in time to see him spin the car and clip a light standard. Back then they cost $4800....hate to imagine what they charge for...

To the group of HOG posers at the gas station in Monroe WA, Saturday.

Since most Americans (and well to do Koreans) ride HD here, with the same level of gear (large Jap bikes are rare, ST's exceedingly so), I am always asked the question..."you ride HD"? I had to learn a new Korean word as a part of my answer.... Hae-jok = pirate I don't normally need to...
