Mr. Highlander, the signup for the steak dinner hasn't happened yet. I got this response from bigjohnsd: "Not yet, probably in early May when I have costs pinned down. The local Lions Club will cook our steak dinner and the timing is kind of up to them."

That is another excursion I missed, unlike the group Malibu ride he led, with me and my passenger close behind. He could not shake us and frustrated the hell out of him. He needs to reappear for this rally. Calling Sir Richard.

You will see Don Carver (Mr. Happy) in the middle. Good to see him making this ride. Now if we could get Sir Richard on board for some spirited riding, we would be complete. Or will he be in some distant land saving civilization again.

That part number 1MC-F11D0-V0-00 shows up as a "Yamaha Street Motorcycle FJR1300 Frame Sliders" on Amazon for $319.98. Much better than what Yamaha sells for but too high for just the plastic replacement. Big sucky!!

That was my very thought after I installed them but after the plastic shatters I don't see the logic in buying another set for $440, just to replace the shattered plastic. That would be like replacing a perfectly good FJR after blowing out your tire after a 5 minute standing burn-out. I'm...
