I haven't set the rally for July 13-16 yet and am still getting quotes from hotels (one who offer breakfast) in Steamboat Springs. What dates would work better for those of you thinking of coming: July 13-16 or July 20-23

I was leaning more to the July 13-15 date as it is past the Independence weekend and not as steamy as August could be and past the snowed-in Yosemite June ride will be. I am stoked to revisit Estes Park again since the July 24-27, 2008 NAFO Golden CO rally. Any other thoughts out there.

Agreed AJ, good roads and well traveled. That leaves Estes Park or any other suggestions? Would the eastern Sierras be considered too far west for SW-FOG? I've always wanted to do the "Going to the Sun Road" (Glacier NP). The best part of these rides, is the paths taken to get to the rally.

Not a bad idea blufjr. Those are some good rides that I've done in the past. The room rates are lower than what it would be in Estes Park if you are flying solo but doubling up in Estes Park is good too. It sounds like you could be volunteering for the organizing committee.

MsNASCAR and I rode up and through Estes Park during the 2008 NAFO rally in Golden CO as were other attendees. Yes, it is awesome. This is one town that books up several months in advance so if there is sincere interest here, planning soon would be advisable.
