I would hate to take the bike back to Anthony at Prescott Cycle Service for a battery load test $$$. The battery is about 5+ years old and is a battery load test something I could do?

Come to think of it, I needed to uninstall the back-rest and sheep skin covers from the seats. So I removed and reinstalled the seat and perhaps pinching a wire when I dropped the bike off the center stand. Just a thought.

Just called Outdoor Sports (authorized dealer) and they quoted the ECU for my bike at $1188. I hope that is not the issue. Anthony at Prescott Cycle Service said it is not a grounding issue because all the components check out and he won't get to working on it again until tomorrow.

He did say he might have to jump power to the circuit to get the door open. He did mention the cost of the ECU if needing replacement, ouch. He also said 89k miles on this bike is a lot but I said I haven't been riding it much the last 3 years.

You are correct because 2 plug wires are connected to a coil (according to Jeff @ Outdoor Sports). Their service Dept guy said they are on back-order and don't expect them until October.

I just spoke with the Yamaha, Cypress CA recall person (Sabrina) and she said all recalls for my VIN # have been performed. When I have my '07 towed in I will ask them to focus on the S4 and S6 ground couplers. Thank you.
