I installed a Givi V46 last night with the Givi rack. I also have the brake light kit in the trunk and don't understand why some people have had problems with it. All the connections and the trunk itself are VERY solid. The brake light connections work even if I don't close the latch on the...
The last time I went and looked seriously at a BMW I got some sort of lecture along the lines of "Well, owning a BMW isn't like owning a regular bike. It's a commitment and lifestyle." Needless to say I didn't buy anything. It was very offputting to get a mini-lecture just because I wanted to...
Something don't seem right. They show the C14 having less bhp than the FJR, which I know isn't right. Are these estimates or actual measured top speeds.
I put mine on last night. My first ride with them on was the commute in this morning (about 26 miles). I inspected them real quick and didn't notice anything. I will inspect again after the ride home.
It looks more like a chip (??). Did you ride through any rocks that might have been thrown...
I've found that nearly every bike I have owned no one knows what it it. Unless it's a Harley or one of them Ninja bikes...people have no idea what it is. And even then they think all sportbikes are "Ninjas." :glare:
I've also found that if you tell non-riders what you ride when they ask...
I'll keep an eye on the CF bits. My first real ride with them was the commute in this morning.
And the garage isn't polished, it's epoxy sealed. It's an afternoon's work and costs about $100 from you local Home Depot or Lowes. Lazy pukes.
Also posted this on ST.N...
Exhaust showed up this aftnoon.
Thanks to Bill at https://www.motorsports-network.com for answering all my e-mails and rushing the titanium and carbon fiber bits to me as quickly as possible.
Obviously I opted for the titanium version as it will never...
Agreed. I was contemplating upgrading to an '08 until I saw the color. Black looks badass, but I don't want to spend my life trying to keep the thing remotely clean up here in W. WA.
Jesus, some of you guys are harsh.
I didn't read every word of the thread, but IMO fireroadeddy had a point about customers ranting "I read it on teh intarwebs!" The fact that he didn't stick around to back up his statements is kind of sad. Then again, he probably was...
Okay, I bit the bullet and ordered a pair for my '04 since I will be stuck with it for awhile.
I will post some audio as soon as I'm able...unless someone beats me to it. :clapping:
I'm not terribly surprised or disappointed with the '08 news. I'm a realist...I don't expect a newly designed FJR every year or two like some. :D
But you know what I would like, regardless of year? More than one fricken' color choice! :angry2:
Actually I think Yamaha has done a pretty good job evolving the bike so far. I expect '09 or '10 will be another significant update. That's when I will trade up, assuming the changes are for the positive.
My question is: how are the supersports on a 2 year re-design cycle? Do they really...
Huh? Then using the logic of your argument the '08 should be named Raven Mulberry or something, not just Raven.
Regardless, it's a cool but very impractical color unless your FJR is a garage queen or you live someplace where it never rains.
