    Power Commander V- which map?

I realize this could be a loaded question but I hope to get some insight from other people that have played with a PCV. Let me start with what I have, a Gen II 06, 2 bros slip ons, stock air filter, and a PCV. What I want, MORE POWER, the same MPG, and a smoother running bike. I realize some...

    What else should I do?

4700 miles on the bike. All fluids and filters have been done. I will check FJR tech about lubing.

    What else should I do?

Are we ever really done? Throttle tube sounds awesome, that's exactly the kind of things I was hoping to find out about. Couldn't see if this will work with heated grips. PO has some cheap style grip heaters, I assume the adhesive type. The new throttle tube would slide on, then re-apply...

    What else should I do?

Bought an 06 in Sept and have had a good time workiing on it. I did the PAIR removal with the Wynpro plates (awesome product BTW), disconnected the middle return spring for the throttle, and did one of Fred's Unauthorized TBS. Bike runs 100% better, which got me thinking. Is there anything...

    Saddle Bag Repair

Not sure I know what you mean by "bag". The PO dropped the bike and cracked the outside of the saddle bag, the painted portion. I would like to repair it so the water doesn't get into the case. Make sense? I think its time for me to research how to post a picture.

    Saddle Bag Repair

I don't want to hijack a post BUT, is it possible to remove the inside plastic on the LID of the saddle bag. I have a 3" crack that extends to the lip of the lid and I would like to get to the inside of the lid to fix the crack. Possible? or do I just wait for a used box to show up on the forum?

The Really, Definitely Completely Un-Authorized TBS

I had the opportunity this afternoon to perform the Unauthorized TBS on my new to me 06. Let me just say HOLY CRAP!! What a difference! When I first hooked up the TBS tool my numbers were not too bad, my mechanic had done a TBS 500 miles ago. I went ahead and performed the unauthorized...

    Engine keeps dying

Lucas Oil is the brand, I think it cleans injectors. Either way I will order sea foam and use that.

    Engine keeps dying

Idle speed is good, 1000-1100 when hot. I will stop by the Yamaha dealer, see what they say. I do have a bottle of Lucas oil treatment sitting in the garage, guess it's worth a shot.

    Engine keeps dying

I have a new to me 06 with 4500 miles on it that I bought 3 months ago. First thing I did was have all the fluids and filters done as well as a TBS, no spark plugs or valve check. Last week about 5 minutes into my ride I was stopped at a light in neutral and the engine just died. Started it...
