We never list torque values for screws that small in aviation (1/4-20 and above). Too tight and you will know it rather quick. Those screws are in tension, but don't hold much, so snug is the correct choice. Must be an electrical engineer.

Lay it flat on the concrete, place a wrench or channel locks on the brass part, and place an open end on the compression valve. Leave the wrench about 2 inches from the concrete and whack the wrench with a dead blow mallet. Worked for me, but I also used a propane torch to heat the locktite...

I love this bike, looks and all. I look forward to the reviews from owners like BluFJR and the aftermarket accessories that are sure to come. There is already aftermarket windscreens, and when the cruise control and suspension mods come, I may have a hard look.

I assume you tried the new cut key both directions? My Locksmith cut key only works one direction. Go figure. Proximity is proximity, it should work if the key is cut right.

The wife and I use the SMH10s also (they just advised of a new software update to V5.1.1 by the way) and they work great. Plenty loud volume also.

Sounds to me like the bike wants to stand up in the corners. The stock suspension is adequate, but not fantastic, but very doable. Try the suggested settings for the Gen II, I think it is 8s all the way around and two lines showing for preload and then try it again.I have no trouble hanging off.

I see you live close to me (La Crescenta, I am in the Valley). I have a gen II top case that I do not use that you can try/or buy for $100. It needs paint on top, as I tried to match it to my 2007 burgundy and failed miserably. Includes the mount and back rest. I don't want the hassle of shipping.

Is it just me? I don't think the Tiger looks anything like an FJ-09. Different mirrors, different windscreen, different grab handles, different cylinder head angle, different exhaust (one high, one low), different hand guards, different head lights, etc..... I agree with Howie that the FJ-09...
