I just saw this. Don was one of the first people I met in this wonderful community of ours. We spoke at length in the parking garage during WFO-6 while doing our "guard" duties. I learned a lot from him. He, along with OrangevaleFJR, madmike2, Big Chief Stinky Pants, ignacio and several others...

I really thought he was gonna beat this one too. I'm gonna miss his laughter, his quick wit, his story-telling that was guaranteed to make my sides hurt from laughing. Damn. I still grin when I remember rolling out at zero-dark-thirty with dozens of other fools into the freezing dark of Nevada...

The plan is to ride my '07A. It only has 82K on the odometer. It's either that or my HD Street Glide. Since this is my first IBR, I want to take all the unknowns out of the equation. Riding season, what's that? ;)

Thanks for keeping us posted Skooter. Heard about Greg's passing last night from Doug5551 after riding all day with my wife & friends. I've never used this word to describe anyone. With Greg, it seems to fit... Unflappable. I don't think I've ever seen him upset, about anything. His quick grin...

Absolutely! Just remember that whatever bike you take will NOT be the same bike when you return. (A quote I've heard from many who have made the trip.) What an adventure! Please post up pics and updates... Maybe a ride report?
