    Don't judge a biker

It must suck to have a brain that functions without logic... What point are you trying to make?

my front end clunks on bumps, help

I finally ordered and received a 36mm socket so I did the head nut retorque last weekend (did not touch the bearings). Now my front end clunk is gone. B)

    Don't judge a biker

It's a cute email (and old) but face it, Harley posers live for the reactions they get from "normal" people to their clothes, hair, tattoos, loud pipes, whatever... the whole "outlaw" BS. So what's the point here?

    1st time on a HD

I agree that it's inconsiderate and arrogant to stop traffic to keep your group ride together. Face it, it just doesn't pass the common sense test of acceptable road behavior... try as you might to make excuses for it.

    Throttle Spring

On my '05 it didn't seat back on the tang after one unwind (about 1/16 gap). However the throttle returns just fine and no issues have resulted.

    1st time on a HD

Exactly. And if you're not pushing your FJR very hard you might find the HD performance acceptable.

    Master Yoda Riding Position questions

LACO - This is the correct answer to your question as to whether the G2 mod solves all the throttle issues. It doesn't. A PCIII also helps in a big way in terms of throttle response (but again, not stiffness)

    The problem with motorcycling

Everything in engineering has a trade-off. And maybe that's the trade-off for a tire that won't go flat. Not a good one if you like performance.

    The problem with motorcycling

Actually though the idea of a tire that doesn't dump you when it loses air is a good idea and I bet wouldn't be too hard to engineer. I mean I agree with all the risk taking talk, etc, etc in this post (if I didn't I wouldn't be riding) but the thought of some randomly placed shard causing death...

    Apparent group riding fatality

** Warning - not an official account. Eyewitness and hearsay** Traffic was stopped in both directions for about an hour this afternoon on Hwy 410 near Greenwater. Observers reported that there was a fatality among multiple injuries in a group of motorcycle riders about a half mile from where I...

    Flat Repairs

I had no opinion on this until this morning when I went to go for a ride and found my back tire was flat with a screw in it. Shoot... I was thinking new tires, big bucks, etc. :angry2: I decided to search the forum and found this poll. Sweet! I had never tried sticky strings before, but I...

FJR engineers embarrassed by Concours 14

Appreciate the input oldryder, but some would consider it bad forum manners to resurrect a year-old thread to do it! ;)

2009 R1 might not be the prettiest looking bike, but

I like it, but it would be nothin' but trouble!

    2009 Kawasaki GTR1400 photos

Keep in mind those pics are taken from the "good" side. That big fugly can is hiding on the other side.

    Jane's New Bike!

A G/F that likes to ride. That's awesome! More power to her. I could live with the beemer. If she chose HD she'd be history.

    We Lost A Great Friend

So awful! I joined this forum when TWN announced it's existence on S-T.N in June '05... never looked back. It won't be the same without him here.

Could have been an FJR? ....

That's nuts. Glad I live south of the border.
