Do I Have a Spider Problem?

Guys, thanks for your replies, they are very much appreciated! Following is an update: This morning I called Yamaha at 1-800-962-7926 (option 0 for recalls) Talked to a customer rep. I gave the rep my VIN and she checked recalls. She says 2 were complete. 1) Ignition switch, Manufacturer...

Thanks Ross! I'll start with S6. Sounds similar to the post that you referenced. Anyone else please?

Do I Have a Spider Problem?

Suddenly today I'm experiencing electrical issues with my 2007. Having read about GENII spider issues on the forum and some of the symptoms associated with them, I suspect that I have a spider issue. I'm hoping that by describing the specific symptoms that I'm witnessing, that those who have...

    Disconnecting the brake lines

To remove the line, use penetration oil (I used PB Blaster) on the thread and let sit for a while. Do NOT rotate the block, rather secure it in vice grips or an adjustable wrench and use a flare nut wrench to turn the 10mm nut. I've done this successfully to replace my brake line with a three...

    '13 A&S Clutch retrofit?

See my post #63 regarding 2006,2007 and 2008 GEN II's. A few additional parts are required. Note that I myself have not done the upgrade, this was just my analysis based on parts fiche differences.

    Kabuto Ibuki Helmet

A lot of folks over at the Concours Owners Group purchased and evaluated the Ibuki. Here's a link to the thread: https://forum.cog-online.org/index.php?topic=62162.0 My own experience thus far is very positive, but I want to point out a sizing issue that I experienced. First thing to note is...

    Kabuto Ibuki Helmet

I have a size Large, which uses the biggest of the two shell sizes (used for L,XL,XXL). I am able to fit it it my saddle bag with no problem. Below is a photo showing the necessary orientation FYI.

    '13 A&S Clutch retrofit?

"... the same parts for Gen II..." except for 2006,2007 and 2008 GEN II's. They have a different slave cylinder (part 29) than the other GEN II's, as well as the two plates on the clutch boss (parts 14 and 15). Also missing is the "Ring Set" (part 16) . So, the additional parts needing...

New HeliBar design - anyone using? Comments?

Hummm, I considered the brake line extension as an ugly afterthought on an otherwise beautifully machined part that required surgery.

New HeliBar design - anyone using? Comments?

I have a lot more photos if needed. I'm really happy with the Heli bridge and it looks beautiful once you get rid of that brake line extension Heli supplies and replace the entire line with the +3 inch line that I detailed in my post. I have the same question regarding a tank bag.

    Ducati Does Davison

Wow... While I'm not really a cruiser guy (well, not traditional cruisers) this could change ones mind. Beautifully done. Thanks for the post.

Extended length Brake Line (+3 inches) available for Bar Risers

I wondered the same, but even it's a little kludgy looking and I seriously doubt that it would provide sufficient length with the Heli bridge when handlebars are adjusted in the rear most position and the handlebars are full lock left.

Extended length Brake Line (+3 inches) available for Bar Risers

Thanks for your input Fred. I don't want to deal with Heli on this subject again. I already spent so much time trying to convince Heli to supply a replacement line and in the end, they said it wasn't going to happen. I wasted months with them. Within ONE week of contacting Jim as HEL...

Extended length Brake Line (+3 inches) available for Bar Risers

Beginning last late last year while trying to decide between the MV Motorrad and the HeliBar Bridge risers for my 2007 GENII, I contacted Heli customer support and started a dialog about the possibility of them offering an extended length replacement brake line as I'm not fond of the aesthetics...

    Recall. ...But it's your fault.

The article states that the campaign encompasses replacement of the aluminum wheel flange with a more robust steel unit for R and K models produced between November 2003 and April 2011. This infers that the 2012 and newer R and K models have the "more robust" steel units..is this so? Is the...

I am definitely gonna need some bar risers

Thanks for posting the reference Fred. It's a very useful tool in evaluating options such as bar risers/bridges, seats etc.

    PIAA Slim Line Sports Horn

What Dunk43 said. It was the first upgrade I did. The slim lines fit perfectly in the stock horns location. The two-tone sound car like and are loud! https://www.amazon.com/85114-400Hz-500Hz-112db-Sports/dp/B004FXMGLY/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1425941900&sr=1-3&keywords=piaa+horn

    Pushed off highway today

PIAA also makes the slimeline version of these horns, which I have. They are perhaps even easier to install. Similar specs and also plug and play. https://www.amazon.com/85114-400Hz-500Hz-112db-Sports/dp/B004FXMGLY/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1425941900&sr=1-3&keywords=piaa+horn
