Where to Put Straps on Bagster Tank?

I had one but it's been a long time ago. I remember the stem-kneck strap going around and fastening as well as the back strap. I think I rolled all loose ends up and taped them like when doing Alice packs and load bearing gear in the army; tucking the "rolls" into spaces nearby. Maybe I don't...

    Just bought my 1st FJR

Digital (pdf, etc) versions were never released to end users by Yamaha. They were a dealer-only thing. Paper manuals are available new from Yamaha Corp and dealerships as well as used and new online. Any digital ones you see will either be scanned pages of a paper manual (hard to search) or be a...

    Smokers (BBQ - not grilling)

Yesterday (Sunday) was the coolest day in a few weeks (and will be so for the next few days at least). At only 98º, we were lucky to have out HVAC fail and find someone to come out within an hour. So maybe 3 hours of outage. As the interior temps climbed from their normal 77º to 91º, he wrapped...

100-108 for the past couple of weeks seems to confirm your assumption. LOL

Blimey - nobody told me that!

Tip. Tail packs/Trunks/Starship Nacelles are high and usually behind the rear axle. As such keep the load light. Bulky light things only. Heavier stuff lower and more forward (back seat, side packs, etc.). I didn't know that, put some heavy stuff in a trunk of a GL1200 Gold Wing, and spent my...

    Universal joint service

Periodic cleaning of the drive line is still a good idea. U-joint to the seal into the pumpkin is about all I've ever needed. u-joint Shaft and Splines Swing Arm I do the u-joint, shaft, and splines with every tire change. It's that easy. I also do a rear "diff" flush every other tire swap...

    Am I being scammed?

In the future, if this happens to anyone, please copy the PM (and contact info of the author) and send it as a PM to us Admins (admin, Cycle, igancio, me). Better yet, if there is a REPORT button on that inbox PM, use it and let it do all that for you automatically.

I know I always enjoyed listening to him weave a story at places like the Crawfish Boil in LA. He was an excellent rider, a wickedly cleaver RM, and a great representative for the sport. His "pulling a Cosby" was something he didn't need to do to finish well, and, as with BC, was a tarnishing of...

Anyone remember when Eddie got caught cheating at a Waltz Across Texas Rally? That year, historical plaques of a certain type were bonuses, Eddie got caught walking around Fredricksburg, TX and taking "required" photos and logging plaques in town the night before the start. 0 miles for X points...

The "drinking from a fire hose" syndrome is very real and people can drown. That's why no one gets in "cold" to the IBR. Some experience in smaller rallies is typically expected.

    FJR Forum Decal design

No trunk. Lighter color on main panels for better contrast. If these are 3" across, then I can see why the need for the simplified design.

Even the RMs of the 24 hour rallies put in a lot of work to do similar things. Rallying is a blast for that alone.

    Seat options

I had a saddlemans (don't know which) on a GL1200 Wing. Hard as nails. Ended up using bandages on it to make it useful (pads, etc.). If any aftermarket seat needs those then it wasn't built correctly for your needs.

The last time someone used that around me at a GWRRA meeting I asked them if their wife was 4 and held the whole house hostage to tantrums if she didn't get her way. They didn't use it around me anymore. :D
