I really like the look of the Sargent on the FJR. Had them on both previous BMW's. Unfortunately (?) I find the stock FJR seat okay for 8 to 9 hours so find it hard to justify the price of a new seat.

I'd recommend the Odyssey batteries as the one in my BMW was going strong after 5 years and would crank the bike over much faster than others I'd tried. However, I just checked and Odyssey does not offer a battery for the FJR. They do for a lot of other Yamaha's, but not the FJR.

Tolerancing becomes an issue, as soon as you bolt parts together. You need some clearance around screws to get them in the hole in the plate and still line up with the threaded hole in the shaft. Similarly, the throttle bodies are bolted down (I think!) so I can see many ways for small...

The FJR spotted in Markleeville may ave been Theresa's, especially if it was parked with a bunch of BMW's. We were up there for the I-BMW SGR rally. She was not feeling well that day so I went out to do the Sonora pass out-and-return.
