Fastest Tourer? FJR takes a respectable 6th place

For the price you pay it should be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but IMOP it's not THAT much better than a FJR....for the difference in price. If it makes you happy go for it.

Fastest Tourer? FJR takes a respectable 6th place

There's a guy on the other FJR site that sold his BMW to buy a FJR. He said the maint. was killing him. After already spending quite a bit over the life of the bike on maint/repair......... His BMW (I think it was a 1200,not sure) needed the electronic shock suspension replaced to the tune of...

Running Through the OZARKS on a FJR

Hey Bryan good to see you back!! I kinda like the pic you had of the FJR with just the top part of the fairing. If It wasn't for the radiator just hanging there it didn't look too bad.

Fastest Tourer? FJR takes a respectable 6th place

It's not a legitimate gripe if what Zilla says is true, that the FJR with it's 5 gears has lower RPM's than other tourers with 6. In that case it's simply a waste and more shifting/downshifting for nothing!

Fastest Tourer? FJR takes a respectable 6th place

That thread showed it was only a difference of about 300RPM's, not significant at all.

Running Through the OZARKS on a FJR

Yeah...he's done a lot of work to it. I was a little off on the quarter time, his best is 10.64, still pretty fast! There's videos on Youtube of FJR's at the strip doing 11 second quarters. He may be slightly off on the time but you can see they were running triple digits a LOT.

    Geico Insurance experience

I switched to NATIONWIDE a few years ago when National General doubled my rates for no reason. Nationwide was the cheapest I could find. I pay about $240.00 a year FULL coverage 100/300, with a $500.00 deductible No tickets or points.

    A funny thing. . . . (HD Switching Buddies)

Strange, usually people get smarter with age! Also, when a lot of folks get older they like lighter bikes.....surprised they are choosing HEAVY HD's.

Need new underwear and a windshield

Semongtaulie......was the Rifle screen you had a very large one? I had a CAL SCI Sport shield and it was rock solid in the wind. I now have a slightly taller CEE BAILEY shield with a reverse lip that wobbles in the wind quite a bit and I was wondering if it could damage the mechanism or cause...
