Thanks for the comparison. BTW, I haven't had a problem occasionally using the small strap which connect the two main zippers as a carrying handle. It's a bit thin, but usable and has been fairly durable. Otherwise, I typically use the single shoulder strap for longer carries.

What color is your jacket? My preference would be to paint it.

I got mine through sporttour.com. Either mount will work. The E228 works with your OEM plate. The SR357 replaces the OEM plate. I went with the SR357 on the premise that bolting directly to the subframe was stronger.

Heh heh. Guilty! Glad you found another one. I had put down a deposit 2 weeks before and wasn't able to come pick it up until then. So far I've been able to put 135 miles on her in between snow, sleet and rain. Here she is with newly installed Givi E55 and admore lighting.

I have the Rapid Transit Recon 19, as well. It's a narrower bag than some of the larger ones out there. Love it. Easy access to side pockets. I've used the water bladder bag on a couple of long trips last year. But one thing I noticed on my 2013 FJR was that there isn't a whole lot of room...
