A couple HAVE stopped at the Why Not Travel Store in the town of Why, AZ. I assumed it was just for gas/bio break but could the bonus be there?

They are still rolling through there like a choo-choo train. Since this is the path that very first rider that got shot out of a cannon took (1,900 miles in the first 26 hrs) I wonder if it was worth extra points if grabbed by a certain time? This is gonna drive me nuts!

I keep watching the riders making the run between Tucson and Gila Bend by way of 85/86 rather than the more direct route of I-8/I-10. For the life of me I can't figure out what bonus they might be collecting since they never seem to stop anywhere. Could they really just be avoiding the...

I sold my FJR to Cav47 once I realized I was taking it too far off-road for safety and got a GSA. Still enjoy coming here for IBR coverage though. Thanks for letting me visit!

I'm just disappointed nobody jumped on the "putt-putt pink" comment.

I have no idea who the rider is who is about to enter Arizona but I do know that the rally started 23 hrs ago and they are ALREADY OVER 1,700 MILES FROM THE LAUNCH POINT!!!! Wherever they are headed I sure hope they make it with that kind of dedication and stamina. WOW!

Looks like the Flamingo Visitor Center. Wonder why and how does that fit into the "theme"?

The Africa Twins are riding as a team. Also, the 2 "putt-putt pink" FJRs ridden by Corey and Brian Nuehring are identical except for their top box covers. One is red and the other is black. I guess that's so they remember who's bike is who's! I asked Kurt what happened to the baby Ninja. He...

Gotta hit the road back to St Louis right after cheering them off (work) but I’ll definitely have it up at work......as usual. I did find it interesting that a couple of teams told me they will only have one of their Spots public so they can’t be easily picked out. I understand and thanked them...

This is my first time being at an IBR and while I expected folks to be friendly I’m amazed at just how wonderful everyone seems. It’s like being at a big family reunion what with all the joking, teasing, sharing and laughing. What a great bunch! Happy hunting and safe riding to all!

As Bill Thweatt was changing the oil in his S10 he said Cliff was going to ride it since Dan had withdrawn. Apparently Cliff’s Gold Wing is still having problems. I’m glad that someone is benefiting from Bill’s generosity!

I'm leaving in the morning to go to hang out, look at the bikes and cheer them off at the start. Considering they have to get up to Washington then back down to South Carolina I expect to see some of them again around St. Louis once I get home.

Their leg 3 was over 6,000 miles without even counting all the detours for other boni. Over 1,100 miles just on the island of Newfoundland. HOLY FJR BATMAN!

Since I haven't met them (yet) will someone please identify the "Newfoundland 5" for me? I'd like to be able to put a face to my new heroes and heroine. Left to right please.

I hope those Spot markers northeast of Toronto are old. They're just over 1,000 miles away with 12 1/2 hrs until penalties start plus the direct route runs through Toronto. It goes through Chicago and Madison also but they will be at night. Oh, and they have to cross the border back into this...

It looks like the Newfoundland crew is making a quick detour south to hit something in Witless Bay before heading up to St. John's but I can't figure out what. Any clues?

Looks like one bonus in Newfoundland is the Corner Brook Museum and Archives since a rider was just in the parking lot next door. We know there is also the dog statue farther in and an octopus. Maybe building a land/sea string?
