Oregon, and some Idaho and Nevada

Great photos ole man and glad you shared with us. Too bad about the infraction. Here in my state we are 4th in the nation for ticket writing. Its done mostly for revenue which hacks one off. The same roads you run 70 on in Texas turn to 55 when you cross the border and deputy dog is always...

Yamaha touring screen v. CB 4"+ with flip

I like the yamaha touring. Got it for less than 100 from SouthSeatleSportsPlaza. I not real fussy about windshields though. Like the standard one for the summer and leave it down unless it rains.

    Why Buy an FJR?

Wanted a sport tourer like the bmw but they were to high. Had a Yamaha Roadstar so I got a better trade for the FJR than if trading for the St1300. Glad I got the FJR. Didn't buy to get attention but the FJR usually gets it when around other bikes. They ain't real common around here.

Are the Yamaha "comfort seat's" really that much more comfortable?

Tried the Sargent and still hurt. Sent it back. Modded standard seat a little but after a couple of hours the standard foam seems to soft. Got the comfort seat and it is hard but has better support. From South Seattle Sports it was less than 300 bucks for both. Afraid to spend on a real...

    Tire Mileage (3500 ?!!!)

Just changed out my rear z6 to a new one after 13015 miles. Probably could have got a few hundred more but the center was getting soft when I pulled it. Got 11000 out of the front. I don't burn rubber or do wheelies and such. I guess the roads are soft in Louseyana.

    Risers Can I Do?

You can do it if you can wrench a little. Cut the cable brackets with large wire cutters and bend out of the way. Instructions with risers are adequate.

Front tire worn out and rear still got some life. WOW

Same here, 11000 on front before replacement. Rear still good at 12600. Check after every ride. Will probably change at 13000 no mater how it looks.

    Unhappy FJR owners?

There's too many patrol men in this area to have fun on an fjr. I can go on a thirty mile run into town and see five or six of them.

    Isn't it cool when...

when you get to chase a dynomax dully on a twisting country road at 110 and let him lead to clear all obstacles. Man those trucks will run.

    Metzeler Tires

I got 11000 out of the front z6 with life still left and the rear is still on a 12000. When measured with tred gauge compared to the new one in my shop it has better than a third of tread left. I like them but I am old and slow.

    Got a new FJC

No its not a new model of the fjr. It a Toyota. Man this cruiser is tough as a Jeep or tougher. Came with a rear locker and A trac, all wheel traction control. I guess I will leave my built up TJ at home for this years Colorado mountain trail trip. :yahoo:

Got mine done yesterday at Golden Triangle. They did it right. They had already done 10 others before I got there. I guess waiting a while paid off. No problems at all. Had the tech bulliten in hand. Thanks guys. They did not need it they said they had plenty. The service manager said...
