    Thoughts On These Home Speakers

Well I made it to the store that had the Goldenears,Magnepans and Martin Logans, but spent so much time there that I didn't get a chance to hear the Paradigms or KEFs.I really have to hand it to Audible Elagance in Cincinnati, nobody hovered over me like a hawk, they just handed me the remotes for...

    Thoughts On These Home Speakers

Magnepan 1.7,Martin Logan Electromotion ESL,Goldenear Triton 2. I'm using a NAD C272 at 150wpc so I'm a little leary about the Maggies and ML's.Room size is 15x17.No problem putting the Maggies or ML's three feet off the wall. Most of my listening is classic rock, blue grass,Grateful Dead,blues...

    So tell me about..... Ohio?

Every time I see a picture of the Big Muskie's Bucket it makes me wish that they would have saved the whole machine...it was a BEAST! It could have been the crown jewel of the whole Wilds/AEP Recreation area, and one of the biggest tourist draws in SEO. What a shame.

    So tell me about..... Ohio?

Thoughts? I would expand the trip to include 2 or 3 days in Kentucky and West Virginia.Ohio isn't high on the scenery list...maybe rent a cabin in the Hocking Hills area and use that as your Ohio base camp. The Hocking Hills offer some good scenic hiking(Ash Cave,Conkles Hollow,Old Man's...

What's the "Best" State to ride in?

Another vote for California, for all the reasons above plus great scenery and some good campgrounds.

    SE Ohio Ramble - 2-4 May 2014

Me too!!! I love it,but it's just not in good enough condition to really appreciate it right now. When 2017 gets here I'll be checking it out weekly...we'll get on it before they edge it and the frack trucks pull the gravel onto the pavement.I'll be sure to pm you when the reflectors are being...

    SE Ohio Ramble - 2-4 May 2014

That's actually Stanleysville road, about 3 miles from its intersection with Dalzell Rd heading towards Marietta. That was taken around this time of year two years ago...it would not look like that this winter. This might make some interesting winter viewing for anyone who is familiar with...

Yamaha FZ-09 - european street rally version

Good choice in color selection.I thought I would like the orange, but yesterday I saw all three colors and as soon as I saw the red one it was game over! Ever since I got the KLR I've appreciated the advantages of a lighter bike, but I missed the power of the FJR.The FZ-09 might just be the ticket.

But I have to hand it to you...you picked the best turn on 56 to go wide on...no gaurdrails, drop offs or boulders, just a nice soft field. 27 riders and the Ramble is still four months away...it would appear that mcarp's little ramble has grown a little.

Really excited about doing my first LD ride ever!

Just a thought...if you're planning on riding about 10 hours and stopping the first day in the Roanoke area...maybe go about 30 miles farther on 460 and stop in Bedford VA.Bedford VA is home to the National D-Day Memorial,it's well worth visiting and a good way to spend a couple hours before...

    Oldest Rider You Know

XL please. I can't say I really know this guy,but here's a story about the oldest rider I will never forget. A few years ago I was heading to California and I stopped at a rest stop in Indiana. As I was getting ready to get back on the bike a man of about 80 approached me and said."I see you've...

ODOT "improved" a section of 26,taking out some of those nasty curves we all despise. Flatter, straighter, more boring...nothing to see here folks. I hear tell there's some good riding down around Tennessee way.

Contemplating a trip over Turkey Day weekend

It's good to hear from you Jim. Sorry I didn't get back with you on the tunnel of trees trip, but I've been working crazy hours all fall. I really enjoyed our little romp through 339,530 and others.Speaking of that area...they paved 676 late this year. How's the FJR working out for you?

Sorry Ray...I'm out.I'm working and staying outside of New Martinsville WV...working nights so I'll be sleeping when you're burning up those roads. Difference between trunk attachments GenI vs. GenII/III

I'm pretty sure the bolt pattern is different. If nobody posts a more definite answer I could compare them when I get home.
