Bingo Bounce! My head doesn't get that hot. With great vents, and sweat you have a great AC system like a cool vest using evaporation. An AC suit is what is really needed. Someone needs to perfect that.

My 2 cents - Hwy 70 is far prettier than 32. Also you'll be going thru some great small towns Beldin, Greenville, etc, hugging theFeather River. Tie into 36 pass by 32 and keep going to Lassen. Ride safe.

I do for a GenI, are the fork tube outside diameter the same?

It will be hot regardless what side you're on. Closer to valley floor (west side), hot. East side near high desert, hot. Staying up high in the sierra's cooler. Both side s can be brutal. High desert side less humidity. July/August are just hot. Just be wearing your cool vest.

I took an old stock windscreen and cut it down to 12.5 from the center hole bottom of screen to top. Love it! Lots of wind at your chest and I can put the screen up and deflect it to about neck or chin area. I used to swap my screens out from stock in spring/fall, winter the huge (V-Stream)...
