I can't make it even if I took a vacation day. Working nights so its either go in tired or ride tired. Working a swing shift makes life interesting for sure! Hopefully next time.

Yep, seen that. Thanks for the heads up. They have a guard that almost looks like a step covering it. Thankfully my kids feet are big enough so they can't fit thru. Even if for some reason it snapped that guard would stop it.

I also have the intake jacket. I dont use the liner or the rain protection but as a mesh jacket its great.

Just an update if anyone is interested. 1500 kilometers (the odometer doesn't read in miles) and finally the transmission shifts without the loud grinding noise that usually accompanied every shift. Its not a synchronized transmission so it still makes a loud clunk you can hear a block away...

Actually its not that bad. Now if he had paid attention to the correct flow of the scale pattern, and a few other design flaws, he might have pulled it off. Still, it does get your attention.

I'm game for a ride. I get off work at 6 am so the earlier the better for me. Don't know what the weather will be like though. I keep getting conflicting reports.

OK. I need to get this in before Friday. I have a feeling this is dogpile material. Since I plan on riding well into winter this year, thanks to the ural, I need a helmet that won't fog up. Will a snowmobile helmet work when you ride a motorcycle? Does anyone have any experience with them...

I agree. When I have the misfortune of not riding for a day or two, or its a cold morning, it will jump a little. I now have the habit of just starting it with the clutch in. It never happens when its warmed up.
