Is this JohnOCooper guy for real?

The guy is a real piece of work for sure. You can get the gist of it from his public web site. https://rides.johnocooper.com/ If he does indeed show up with the intention of tyring to pass tech without a TPMS...well I'd pay to see that show.

    Motels in Duluth

Camping is the way to go if you want the full VBR experience. Bonfires, beer, and many stories shared that way. If you want to hotel it one to look at is the Duluth Spirit Mountain Inn. It's close by and relatively inexpensive compared to others in Duluth at that time of the year. Duluth is a...

    aerostich guy;s

It'll take more than a free lunch to have that dirty ole whore sleeping next to my pristine '05. Who knows what might rub off on her.

    Progressive after the crash...

Towing is good. Last time I totalled a bike they paid the $500 towing from Yellowstone to Billings without any questions.

How old is you 'Stitch/Other gear?

My stich is less than 8 years old. But it's got well over 100,000 miles on it and has survived 2 bike totaling accidents. Have replaced the pads, some velcro, and had some repair work after the last accident, but still a functional piece of gear I expect to use for many more years.

Recommendations for trade show custom molded earphones

Another endorsement for Marilyn at "Now Hear This". Had my first set made at a trade show in 2005. Last year they needed to be replaced as I just wore them out. I sent them back to Marilyn and she made a new set for a very good price. I've worn these all day for multiple days and they've been...

2013 IBR FJR Riders Private Area

Hello everyone. Glad to see all the FJR riders in the big show. I'm back for another shot at the 3 digit number. Planning on riding a little more conservatively this time around with the simple goal of crossing the finish line....in tact. Perry - You going to make it down for the BL this...

This is hard news to hear. We never know when our time is up. We lost a good guy way too soon. My condolences to his family and friends.

    My BBG Trifecta Tracking Information

Awesome! I had no doubt they'd be successful. Considering this is Greg's second Trifecta and that other guy's 10th or so IBA ride this year alone!

    Trifecta

A crazy friend of mine is attempting to ride over 4,500 miles in less than 72 hours this weekend. If successful he'll add his name to the small list of LD riders that have completed the BBG Trifecta - Back to Back to Back BBG Golds. He starts his attempt this Friday. If this sort of thing...

Traxxion AK 20's + Penske = Pure Bliss!

I've got a $100 off coupon from CFO I'm not going to use. First PM gets it but you MUST be in the proces of getting service/product from Traxxion, not just thinking about it.

    Install of R&G Frame sliders

Good tip with the laser pointer. Here's the install write-up I did several years ago. https://www.fjr1300.info/howto/sliders.html

All the Gear, All the Time?

One would think someone with an IBA number attempting an IBA ride would be ATGATT. Sadly there are those that still think they'll be OK or have the "won't happen to me" attitude. This one is heartbreaking in it's irony. From the Webster City News...

    BITE

He sort of got the nickname G4 (the faster network) over the weekend. But seeing the size of his anal probe trophy, maybe Rockford Reamer is more fitting. This rally was super fun and very challenging. I'm just amazed at how well G4 did considering it was his first multi-day rally...
